i took this photograph at sunset on winter solstice. the maple keys were illuminated in a textured, hopeful way, which reminds me to look for light in the darkness, not as a means to deny what's difficult, but to embrace and honor the good that surrounds us.

* A familiar subject for me, its another image of the Humber Bridge taken from the South Bank of the River. The city of hull is on the North bank and can just be seen on the right of the image

I love to photograph the Humber Bridge which is two miles outside of Hull. Built in 1981 it is an architectural masterpiece With a centre span of 4,626 ft and a total length of 7,283 ft or 1.3 miles the Humber Bridge was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world for 17 years, until Japan's Akashi Kaikyō Bridge opened on 5 April 1998. Each tower consists of a pair of hollow vertical concrete columns, each 510 ft tall and tapering from20 ft square at the base to 14.8 ft at the top. The bridge is designed to tolerate constant motion and bends more than 10 ft in winds of 80 mph . The towers, although both vertical, are 1.4 inches farther apart at the top than the bottom due to the curvature of the earth.

Another shot of some of the details of Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok. The scary looking figure is one of the guardians or yaksha's of the temple .

Statues of twelve yaksha (or giants) guard six of the temple's gates along three sides of the wall (all sides except the north). The giants are characters from the Ramakien epic, each distinguished by their skin colour and crowns. Each giant is about 5 metres (16 ft) tall, all clenching a mace or gada in front of them.

The construction of the Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of Emerald Buddha started when King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (Rama I) moved the capital from Thonburi to Bangkok in 1785. Unlike other temples, it does not contain living quarters for monks; rather, it has only elaborately decorated holy buildings, statues, and pagodas. The main building is the central Bot (ordination hall), which houses the Emerald Buddha. Even though it is small in size, it is the most important icon for Thai people. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925.

Well we are on day xx of quarantine.... I honestly don’t know anymore. I’m grateful for my health and my family’s health! But I still need more exercise. I’ve been climbing our stairs (and I feel it working) while trying to walk and stay busy moving. What are you doing to stay physically active indoors??
