Mi Blog - Mi caja de sueños

This harvest abstract is based on a photo that I captured of an autumn grapevine in Castle Combe, UK. It was a glorious sunny day which presented a challenge to my camera. I took my photo which was very contrasty with blown out highlights to Deep Dream Generator and Topaz Studio to render a distillation of what I saw in my mind's eye.

I'm sure that little crack on the bowl is going to steel the show...

Textures used are my own. One is handpainted and the other is a Citrasolv paper. You can see the technique for how to make Citrasolv papers here: www.citrasolv.com/altering-magazines-for-use-in-mixed-media/

My grapes don't seem to get any bigger than this ☹️

For MacroMonday theme translucent

Photo from above of a wet grape hyacinth. Close-ups are showing up it's beauty, despite the fact is a very small flower.

Today in my vineyaRD. We had the grape harvest in mid-September, but small, unripe or damaged bunches are always left unpicked. These grapes are 1 cm in size..

HMM!

Grape looking banches hanging from trees in Wytham Woods, the bokeh is courtesy of the art lens.

Grape Mahonia has its blue, Autumn berries at present and some rich red and golden leaves. It also has green leaves, buds and yellow blossoms. It gives all the seasons at once. As shot.

I don't have many flowers in my garden, I did find this one in among the grasses

Once a very common sight in the area, now just a few scattered survivors managing to grow in the weeds and thorns...

I'm praying for rain in California

So the grapes can grow and they can make more wine

Grape was born last spring and is the big brother to Kanga. I didn't see him in a while but I am sure it's him. The grey hair on this back is his winter pelt already - soon the squirrels will become all fluffy again 😉 (Squirrels-2020-7108.jpg)

We have so many all over our property,

and I have pulled out so many over the Years.

Waiting for the harvest so they can be filled with grapes for making wine at Domaine Carneros Winery in Napa, California.

Some more Spring flowers in our front garden, these being called Grape Hyacinth, or Starch Grape Hyacinth.

I like to get close and see all the little bells!
