The research of Harvard Professor Daniel Lieberman shows the benefits of the barefoot technique. Karen Given’s traditional “heel-strike” (above) measures as a sharp impact on the foot, while her barefoot style (below) makes for a much smoother run. (Courtesy of Adam Daoud, Harvard University.)
This is the second revision of my 'First Follow Graph'. I've taken results from @dacort's first follow tool and loaded them into Graphviz to give a representation of who first followed whom.

As part of Rewired State, we wrote some GreaseMonkey code to enhance the Office for National Statistics time series datasets by adding graphs to them.

Graphing provides detailed long range history that is filterable by thermostat or sensor. It also allows you to view runtime of a thermostat's cooling, heating, dehumidification or humidification calls.
All of the HaikuHelper UI is completely customizable or you can create your own from scratch. All changes appear instantly within the UI without needing to refresh. Full control of the entire system is possible. HaikuHelper also integrates with other programming and scripting languages, other third party devices and even includes full JSON, HTTP and jQuery APIs.
This graph compares revenue generated for the Washington DNR from geoduck and the state's timber revenue.
i made a graph resembling a road (white lines on black construction paper), and T graphed the numbers of cars, trucks and motorcycles using silver dot stickers. we talked about how it's easier to determine relative amounts of categories when the data is graphed this way.

Il est rare que j'importe une série. Mais là, j'ai pensé que le "talent de l'artiste" le méritait!
Un vieux poste EDF, sur le parking des "Italiens", en bords de Rhône en Avignon re-décoré par un ou plusieurs grapheurs;
Love how this block turned out! I think I'm more impressed that I managed to figure how to size each cut and what not, I'm such a newbie!

Alistair will give an overview of the techniques and technologies for visualising graph data, and explain where these work well for different types of problem. Graph databases help you to express the connections in your data. Simply by visualising those connections, you have a simple analysis tool, and a compelling user interface.

In the wake of the Christchurch Earthquake, a fellow has been hawking his theory (and new book) on the way the cycles of the moon affect earthquakes. This, to me, feels like preying off human misery. While the earthquake part has been decisively debunked elsewhere, I have heard the theory being defended by "Because the moon controls the weather [another of his theories], it is only reasonable it affects earthquakes". I figured if there was any pattern between the orbit of the moon (which moves it slightly closer and further from the earth) then the rainfall within each lunar period should rise and fall in the same general pattern. It doesn't.
A pattern made from graph paper, using the 6 colors of the rainbow in a continuous sequence to form a design.
Okay, I shifted all of the boundaries and arrows a year and a half forward, so even though Reagan took office in Jan 1981, the shift in this graph isn't until the middle of 1982. Those 18 months are laid on Carter's doorstep.I also moved the arrows indicating a change in administration within the same party.
Now, this seems to align with public opinion with regards to the economy a bit more. Eisenhower was still terrible, Kennedy was doing great things, Johnson was mediocre, Nixon was a mixed bag, Carter was the worst in the last 60 years, Reagan was fantastic, Bush Sr was not so good, Clinton was good, and Bush Jr. has been terrible. I don't know what to make of Ford -- His term was nearly as short as the amount I shifted the graph. As it stands, he looks good though.
There was a downturn starting in the last year of Clinton's administration that continued on into Bush Jr's. With the shift, it's now laid at Clinton's doorstep. That actually makes Jr's first 4 years rather good, GDP-wise. After the reelection, that's where things got ugly.
Graphing calculator an easy way of graphing Graphing is a process of plotting pictorial 2 D representation of any linear shape on the plane surface in respect of Cartesian axes. Graphing is that part of math which is used for better explanation of relations, functions, ad expressions with their symbolic 2 D representation. In current education services online math tutoring is a fast and quick responsive service for solving math queries of students. Online math tutoring service offers some online programs which runs on Internet browser platform known as online calculators which solves math queries instantly.
For my calc teacher's birthday, (also pi day) my class chipped in for me to make this carrot cake frosted to look like a graphing calculator. The look on my teacher's face was hilarious when I interrupted her lesson a few weeks prior to this to ask her what her favorite color is.

Flickr Graph is an application that explores the social relationships inside flickr.com. It makes use of the classic attraction-repulsion algorithm for graphs. The user starts exploring its contacts by entering their flickr username or email address, after which the network starts emerging around its own icon. One can also explore uploaded photos by any user present in the graph.
Please identify yourself and help label these pictures. I've marked the MAIN one for each graph. The ones NOT labeled MAIN will be merged into the main one when I get the chance

Generated by stderr from this code. Answers the question, "if you were running the 3n+1 program backwards, and always choosing the lowest number to generate next, how long would it take you to generate x?". The green line answers the question "How long would it take you to generate all numbers x or lower?"
Also, I kind of want to put rightward-looking eye at (15000, 100000)
