8 Seconds, Sound on.

Always fun to shoot a Still Life every now and again.

A hint of the upcoming collaboration.

Another shot used with one octodome strobe above and left of the apple.

Little granny square slippers made using the purl bee pattern:

These were made using the leftovers from the rainbow ripple blanket I did. The green and blue square is the toe, the pink and green is the heel, and the squares with the yellow are the soles.

Grannys Bay is part of a marine reserve and Long Bay Regional Park, with interesting shells and rock formations. Our family often walk here.

Columbines come in a wide range of lovely colours but I think their unusual and very distinctive shape makes them a good subject for presentation in B&W allowing a better appreciation for the beauty and intricacy of their structure.

I found her at Maymensing railway station,Bangladesh. Her age is around 100 years.Last 27 years she is living on that railway station. There was a guy who is taking care of her.She was lying on the floor staring at people but can't make a single step because she was paralyzed. The guy is total inspiration. She is nothing to that granny but still taking care of her.

Maybe that's why Leo Tolstoy said,"The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity".

Apple production in California represents 8.5% of the national production. With over 38,500 acres of apples. There are five major regions in which apples are grown in California. Historically, apple production was limited to the coastal mountains north and south of San Francisco Bay, in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento, and in the Southern California mountains. Recently apple production has expanded into the Central Valley, with new plantings of Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, and other varieties.

No offence to grannies out there, but these are the old trees which have survived and are now repopulating the glen. A few grandchildren around them.

Third installment of the granny squares.

Aquilegia (Canadensis) or Granny's Bonnet. Taken at a beautiful Open Garden in the old Canberra Suburb of Barton.

I prefer this variety over the Aquilegia (Columbine) that seems very shy and reticent by looking down and hiding it's face under the bonnet.

they are now blooming in my courtyard garden. ;)

EU07-312 with InterRegio 329 "Mare Balticum" from Olsztyn Główny to Berlin Lichtenberg passes the surroundings of Gdynia Cisowa passenger stop. The stop had been constructed and opened less than 3 months before this picture was taken.

The locomotive has a custom decorations on middle front window. Among the class name and running number, there is also "BABCIA" sticker which means "Granny" - as it was the oldest locomotive of EU07 class in Szczecin Port Centralny loco depot. March 7, 1998.

EU07-312 z międzynarodowym pociągiem InterRegio 328 "Mare Balticum" (numer krajowy 58303) z Olsztyna Głównego do Berlina Lichtenbergu mija okolice niedawno (22 grudnia 1997) oddanego do eksploatacji przystanku SKM Gdynia Cisowa.

7 marca 1998 roku.

A Granny Smith apple. Studio shot. The apple was placed on a glass plate with a black piece of cloth under it. Strobist: An Yongnuo 560 III speedlite in a Firefly II softbox from above the apple. Another Yongnuo 560 III speedlite snooted camera right, bouncing over white pieces of styrofoam on both sides of the apple.

When I was over visiting my family in Scotland I found one of my Granny's cameras, there were 5 frames shot on it. My Granny, Jessie, passed away 18 months ago. The camera probably hadn't been used for at least two years before that. The film was crappy and I didn't really have huge expectations that anything would come out. So I shot up the rest of the roll and got it developed.

Only 2 of the 5 original shots came out. The big surprise is that my Granny is IN one of the pictures!

Apparently this was one of two cameras my grandparents used regularly.

As a family we often would drive around the highlands on day trips or weekend road trips, it's something that both my grandparents and my mum enjoy a lot. So it could have been my mum, my mum's partner, my grandpa or even me or my sister who took this picture...

My Granny always had a camera with her and loved taking pictures, it's one of the things I remember most consistently about her when I was a child. I am very lucky to have found this, I am also lucky to have had a grandparent who loved photography and was encouraging. As well as my father, who always made sure we had cameras when we were kids it was my Granny who always wanted to see pictures I took and asked me if I would take photos of my friends or where I was living.

Finding this is lovely, it is encouraging and made me so happy to remember her.
