A truly magnificent sight, the Ballroom features 22-foot ceilings and lovely water-green walls adorned with gold leaf decoration. Large murals painted by Ernest Peixotto add a feeling of richness and warmth to the stateliness of the room. The magnificent crystal chandeliers, which are copies of those that hung in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, and six elaborate crystal wall sconces with amethyst colored crystal drops, complete the grand illumination of the ballroom. A built-in stage and grand piano offer the ideal space for live entertainment.

Another week nearing its end. Why does Spring go by so quickly?
Thank you for taking a look and all comments and faves are always appreciated so much!
This is an iconic shot of the Grand Canyon taken thousands of times but maybe not so often frosted in fresh snow. This was actually taken day 2 visiting the Grand Canyon, the first day it was so socked in with clouds and fog that you could not see a canyon in front of you just white fluffy stuff. I am so glad we took the chance and went back day two for a few hours before heading off as it is a sight that should be seen by everyone at least once in their life.
I took this on Dec 28th, 2019 with my D750 and Tamron 15-30 f2.8 G2 Lens at 34mm, 1/160s, f11 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,and DXO Nik

Built in 1858 by the US Lighthouse Service. This lighthouse was in operation until 1972. An automatic light tower was built to replace the historic lighthouse. It would later reopen as a museum in 1986.

Last February we were able to snowshoe across the lake to Grand Island in Munising MI. The hike over was somewhat terrifying for me, as I've never been one who feels that safe on frozen Lake Superior. However, the sights were amazing. So glad I did it!
The granites of this part of the Mont Blanc massif also dominate the Ferret Valley, leaving the hiker photographer enthralled.
