Its taken me weeks of visiting this spot for the conditions to be what i wanted. Coupled with a few times when i just couldn't get out of bed - i know lazy! Got there this morning and it was perfect.

the only time that mattered is now and once you miss it, it’s never coming back. live it for now because this was the only time you ever had.

A perfect spring evening spent on the Dorset Coast. Brandy Bay is about a mile West of Kimmeridge and is accessible the the tide is out.
I hadn't visited this area for six years. Glad I finally made it back. Kinda tough spot to get to, but worth the effort, especially after rains create these great puddles for reflections.
Whenever Kay and I go out shooting, Kay usually runs around taking cool pictures with her cell phone, while I'm fussing over one particular shot.
On this day, while I was set up really low trying to get a reflection picture of this great mountain in a tiny puddle, Kay called for me to join her. I yelled back that I'd be there in a minute because I was trying to get a reflection in this puddle. Kay yelled back "Forget the puddle."
When I joined her she showed me this. Always listen to your wife.
This truly felt like a journey to another planet. The size of this crater was incredible. We were told you could fit all of Manhattan inside of it.
As we watched the sunrise a small group of native Hawaiians chanted. They told us the chant was a prayer meant to ask forgiveness from those we have harmed and release any grudges we've been holding. It was a spiritual experience.
Mixing altered reality - those reflections that live within 'reality' as we think of it - creates a little mystery. It makes me lean in and explore the elements - the patterns - the way lines and shapes fit together to form a new reality. Lovely colors create energy and the diagonal drape makes me curious about what hides inside. Nice balance within the frame with spatial relationships dancing to a new tune.

Part of my Surfcoast /Great Ocean Road trip. Bay of Martyrs - There are plenty of lookout areas to enjoy along this stretch of coastline, particularly at sunset when the sky turns a milky pink
The geology of Pembrokeshire provides amazing images. This was taken on the cliffs of the Army Training Area, not visited often it is a real treat to have to yourself.
The 4WD trail to Yankee Boy Basin was quite the challenge. I was kinda proud of myself and Wanda (my 4Runner) when we made it all the way to the top.
The payoff was the wildflowers were blooming and the light softened on and off for us. Overall, lots of fun.
The beauty of the bayou is mystical and a little foreboding. But in fall the mosquitos are gone, the alligators are hibernating, and the snakes are few and far between. There is just great color and great birds.
Chapel in Fall - We had a fun time in Grand Teton National Park the past week. Fall colors were at peak, but there were a couple days of thick smoke from nearby fires. Sunset light lit up these autumn aspens and framed this little chapel beautifully. It was a nice surprise to see the little bird sitting atop the cross too.
I don't enjoy getting out of a warm bed an hour before dawn just to stand around waiting for the possibility of good light that many times never appears. Well, it's mornings like these that motivate me to throw off the covers. Alpenglow is one of my favorite things.
Oh, and the promise of Kay's breakfast burrito when I get back to the travel trailer.
The beautiful coastline of Dorset. This was taken a few weeks ago and the calm waters are more reminiscent of a summers evening.

Kay and I spent our 4th of July holiday in Snowy Range, Wyoming. We boondocked in a great forest campsite and spent our days hiking and exploring.
We thought we were out-of-luck for any fireworks, but we were wrong, mother nature gave us this spectacular light show over Lake Marie.
I've been to this spot many times over the years. This may be the nicest sunset I've witnessed there.
This scene didn't last long. It had been snowing hard and conditions were overcast nearly all day. The clouds parted and let a little light fall on this glorious scene for just a few minutes before total overcast again. I'm glad I was at Valley View for those few minutes.
Out on the South West Wales coastal path after a weekend in Dorset. I am always surprised by the similarity of both locations, particularly the geology and ruggedness of the cliffs. This image was taken on the Castlemartin Range, a wonderfully unspoilt part of the coast. The bay certainly lives up to its name - it was blowing hard and i had to hold on to the tripod to get a steady shot. Great fun in a great place.
The mysterious dancing aspens near Telluride, CO. I had some very nice light on these beautiful trees to help illustrate their unique nature.
Staying with the St Leonards theme, this image was taken some 20 minutes after the last image I posted of the Sirens Boathouse & Kiosk. I could not believe how quickly Mothers Nature can turn things around to produce an amazing colour display. Hoping you enjoy the tones as much as I did.

We all have slow days, off days days we feel tired or uninspired, but they are nothing to concern yourself with. Like the ocean, the stillness is just another of its natural states. Soon the winds will return, the waves will rise and your imagination will flow freely again.

This tree has been on my bucket list for some time. I was so happy we timed our trip just right to see it at the height of fall color. It is a beautiful little tree.
I saw more Columbines at American basin than I had ever seen before. We seemed to get there at peak bloom too.
Seeing these beautiful little flowers carpet a majestic landscape is emotional. So glad i got to experience it.
Winter is very tough on me when it comes to photography. We don’t get a ton of snow so most of the woodlands are bare and a tad boring. So instead I try to use this time of year for trying new things in photography and try to be creative. Sunday night was one of those nights that are so special this time of year and was an absolute blast. I went to a local “haunted tunnel” and decided to try spinning some steel wool in a rig I built with LED lights attached. The result blew me away. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I did making them. Big thanks to @bulletsnbirdies and @jessiepistachio for helping me with getting everything ready for the shoot and lighting the wool for me.

Last year the road to this alpine lake was blocked by snow fields. This year we were so happy to see the road was open. Bonus! a super bloom of wildflowers all around it. Yahoo!
