As we drove around 17-Mile-Drive on the Monterey Peninsula of California, we passed by this green on a golf course on the Pacific Ocean. The vegetation in the rough on this par 3 looked unforgiving.
to do an early morning visit on closed gound may give unexspected experience^^
Thanks for visits and faves. Personally written comments highly appreciated and will be responded a.s.a.p!
Cheers
Joerg

As promised I have a few infra red shots from Barnbougle (taken with my converted compact camera). These have been converted to black and white and the the sky has been colour toned using the blue stream of the tone curve.
Here a group of golfers are on the 18A Green at Barnbougle's Lost Farm links course. Lost Farm is a course designed by former US Masters winner Ben Crenshaw. It has 20 holes, and is the younger sister to The Dunes links course at Bridport.
I was struck by the shape of this Beech Tree which looked like a golfer part way through the "downswing". It is amazing how trees become shaped by their environment and very often you can determine the elements that have dictated their form. However, in this instance it would be hard to speculate what had caused this mature tree to become shaped in this way!
I love the mossy green arms swinging the "tree wood"!

Willowbrook Golf Course located in the City of Winter Haven in Polk County Florida U.S.A.
Located in Central Florida's Polk County, Willowbrook's well-manicured layout in a natural setting combines mature trees, water hazards, bunkers and doglegs to challenge the experts, yet provides plenty of opportunities for pars and birdies. Willowbrook's natural setting affords players the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including alligators, herons, cranes, foxes, ibises and many more of Florida's natural inhabitants.

When on the road, we often stop for lunch at a golf course restaurant that is open to the public, one of us being a golfer (that wouldn't be me).......it has worked pretty well in that we find a nice place in a setting that we like. This day we ended up at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor Township and had tasty sandwiches and salads....and maybe a frosty Corona with extra lime......
This is the first hole, near the green, of the Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club and two friends and I were out playing golf. It was a beautiful morning where the low sunshine was glittering off the very wet foliage. So out came my mobile as I could not resist trying to capture that gorgeous moment.

Macro Mondays theme - It's All About the Shadow. HMM!
Just think if I'd had a baseball batter sculpture, I'd have covered the last three weeks worth of themes :-)
