God of War
Just built-in Photo Mode (Auto-Focus, maxed exposure, low FoV)
Collage using: Pixelmator (MacOS)
[aka "Valentine's day" shot]
Composed of four 4K shots (untouched from game's PM, lower capture is slightly cropped)
Finally publishing it :) Captured around 400 pictures to achieve matching "three of a kind". The Photo Mode was particularly “unstable“ to reproduce framing (ended up marking my screen with post-it)
Shot between 2nd & 28th of February
Initial, simpler composition here
"Boy."
According to a Reddit user who counted them all, Kratos said "Boy" 119 times during the Story campaign of God of War. That is crazy!
GOW3 ended in a very satisfying way with Kratos sacrificing himself to release hope to the world that fell into Chaos after the death of the Greek Gods. I thought to myself, "Hey, what a great game, and a nice ending." Then that post credit scene happened with Kratos body nowhere to be found and a trail of blood heading to the chaos. After that, I knew we were getting another game.
God of War Ascension then happened, and while it was good, doesn't compare to the trilogy. After the disappointing sales, I thought God of War was finally ending. I lost all hope. Then E3 2016 happened.
It opened with a small boy playing with his toys outside his home. I knew immediately that this was wither taking place in the past or a post apocalyptic future.
"BOY!"
Alright, so maybe a son and father type game like Last of Us.
"Your mother's knife, it is yours now."
Large man hiding in the shadows, still thinking it the Last of Us spinoff.
"She taught you to hunt?"
"What she knew."
"Show me..."
OK, he's walking out. Wait! Is that!?
"I am hungry...Feed Us!"
Kratos! After almost ten years since God of War 3, Kratos' story was finally continuing on! I had to wait for years to find out what happened after the third and we were finally getting a new game. The trailer was epic, the graphics looked great, and the setting was NORSE! Hell yeah!
Two years of trailers and clips from the game and I could finally watch theradbrad play the game. (Still saving up to buy myself a PS4 but I keep spending money on minifigures.)
The story was phenomel and the gameplay looked awesome! I can't wait to play the game for myself and I already know we're getting a sequel after the secret ending!
Anyway, the Kratos minifigure is from Leyilebrick and Atreus is just a quick build of my own. Brown hair, Bard the Bowman's son's face, an arrow and quiver from Kili, forget where the torso is from and legs from a dwarf.

Backstory-
Before time itself, Asgard was harshly controlled by none other than Ares, The God Of War. However, when Ares brutally perished in a battle, his 2 sons, Phobos (Fear) and Deimos (Terror) were in line for the throne. The two brothers clashed over who would rule, but in the end, Phobos claimed he was fit- as he was the oldest of the two.
Angered, Deimos thirsted for revenge. Storming his father's old workshop, he began to construct a weapon that would overpower his brother and ensure him the throne. With his mind on vengeance, Deimos became careless and accidentally spilled his weapons main ingredient-a powerful, and mystic metal with amazing properties-over himself in a sloppy mishap. The metal was absorbed into his skin and coated his body. He now had massively enhanced strength, durability, and power. Even in agony, Deimos was determined to finish what he had started-he challenged his brother to a duel and it is said that they are still locked in combat to this day.
Thanks for checking out my minifig, have a great day!
(Note-This is not taken from mythology, I just used some characters and made a story.)
Kratos is a fictional video game character from Sony Santa Monica's God of War series, which is loosely based on Greek mythology. Kratos first appeared in the 2005 video game God of War, which led to the development of six additional games featuring the character as the protagonist. Kratos also appears as the protagonist of the God of War comic series and novels. He has been consistently voiced by Terrence C. Carson, and Antony Del Rio voiced the character as a child in God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
In the series, Kratos embarks on a series of often forced adventures in attempts to avert disaster or to change his fate. He is usually portrayed as being oblivious to all else, often engaging in morally ambiguous activities and performing acts of extreme violence. He is a Spartan warrior eventually revealed to be a demigod and becomes the God of War. Each adventure forms part of a saga with vengeance as a central theme, providing additional information about Kratos' origins and his relationships with his family and the gods.
The God of War franchise has become a flagship title for the PlayStation brand and Kratos is one of its most popular characters. The character has been well received by critics and has become a video game icon, a relative newcomer among more established franchise characters, such as Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Lara Croft. The character is now associated with other products and has had various cameos in PlayStation games outside of the God of War series.
