Draka walks to the city and will rejoin her army.Ready for some new dark adventures.

Thee I Invoke, bornless one

All woman, pure predator

Wherein conspiracy and impulse dwell

Like a seething fall from grace

Thou art pale hecate

Rising from thessaly

You're in my dreams

The Darkness in my heart

The rapture in their screams

Black Goddess Rise...

" For Godesses and Rogues,Flowers in Vouge!"

Out of all of the mannequins I have ever seen, these ones terrified me the most.

I think these children play behind the pillars of the Acropolis, calling random people back into the ruins then eat their eyeballs. Just a guess.

The MR SL Pageant is premier competition for male models in Second Life. The MR SL 2017 started in September and Peter Carter participitated as MR SL Estonia 2017♛. For the second runway challenge we choose the Gods of our selected countries on September 24th. Peter Carter MR ESTONIA 2017 is inspired by the Norse mythology about the Gods and Godesses of the Baltic region of Northern Europe. The Norse Gods: ODIN, THOR, LOKI, BALDUR and TYR. lived in the ASGARD fortress and were worshiped in Estonia. Peter has chosen ODIN who was a relentless seeker and giver of wisdom and the divine patron of the Kings.

The electrifying Bonalu festival, which is celebrated with deep fervour and gaiety in the Telangana Region will take place in the period of Ashada Masam (a month in Hindu calendar, which falls in between June and July). The word 'Bonalu' is derived from ‘Bhojanalu’ meaning food offered to the Goddess Maha Kali.

On Bonalu day women take head bath early in the morning and wear festive clothes. They cook rice and prepare a Andhra sweet dish, Payasam and Thotakura ( a leafy vegetable) and put them in a vessel decorated with neem leaves and a Jyothi (an oil lamp in a shallow earthen dish) on top. Women carry these vessels on their heads and walk up to the temple, while the traditional band music (dappu) accompanied by dancing follows them. They place the vessels before Godesses as an offer to the almighty. Some women fill the vessels with water, mixed with turmeric powder and pour them around the temple along with neem leaves for a prosperous and peaceful life. This is called 'Saka'

Sunna – Goddess of the Sun & Daughter of Night(phoenix)

Sól was the Norse Goddess of the Sun, and was also known as Sunna. In Norse mythology, the sun is believed to be female, while the moon is male — and both Sol and Mani (i.e. the moon) were worshipped as deities of protection and victory.

The Old High German Merseburg Incantations, written in the 9th or 10th century, revealed that Sol was honored not just a goddess of the sun but also of protection and victory.

With its high ceiling, the hall boasts two large fireplaces, this the more ornate of the two. The marble chimneypiece itself was by Edward Stanton and Christopher Horsnaile, while the wealth of stucco was the work of three Italians, Vassali, Artari and Serena. Above the fireplace is a portrait of the second Earl of Lichfield by Aikman and above that, two creative classical godesses, one a designer and the other a sculptor.

Slavic Goddess Series: Part I

For a school photography project I endeavor to produce my own interpretation of customs and traditions. I chose to research forms of Paganism and have chosen a number of Slavic Godesses to portray.

My model Sophie here portrays Zaria: The heavenly bride, goddess of beauty and morning. At dawn her worshippers greeted her as "the brightest maiden, pure, sublime, honourable”.

Video footage of this shoot is here.

spring arrives at 5:58 pm in the Northern Hemisphere, so we've been in it for an hour!

++++++++++++++++++++++++

THE WILD SEASON

soft gentle spring, innocent as

Blake’s lamb,

I reject you.

No! you are

not spring – you, pretty and

pink, idolized by poet, lover, and,

shamefully, gardener who should know

and love better… you are the sham, the

idealized, the wished for. And because you

are the long-awaited, you become

Messiah.

Who are you, then, Spring, if you are not a

reflection of my image? … an externalization

of my hopes? … if you are not merely

light and goodness and shades of green?

Ah Spring, good numen, divine mind of Cicero, remote, tough,

wild, I joined my childhood with you on the habitually brutal northern

prairie. and in the month of March, the only wheatfields were

heaving snow, piling into drifts along the grid. The only light

spring gave us was a gradual increment into the ability to

see our way home from school… “don’t get lost on the way

home, kids; be ever so careful if there’s a snowstorm. they’re

worse in the dark.”

Spring is not the lamb. No, Spring is the Madonna travailing in

grips of outrageous labour to give birth to the liberator, only to

know her beloved will die when the sun succumbs to the early

horizon.

Praise the gods of northern climes!

while farmers parade in combines, and feed the

Spring Madonna reeking manure.

by June the grain will be planted with

prayers for gold and enough harvest to fill

the belly of the lonely, ageing silo, the god of

traintracks and humble

prosperity.

Himachal Pradesh has a large number of small temples with wooden Gods who must have been sculpted with some finesse and style but I have always seen them weather beaten and cracked up. These are Gods who hang around outside of the sanctum sanctotum and face the cold and harsh winds of the Himalayan mountain ranges.

The first time I remember seeing a wooden God was in a small deserted temple about 10-15 kms from Chail near the bank of the River Giri Ganga that flowed majestically with wooden logs floating downstream. The logging has now stopped much after making a few people very very rich but the forests are very empty and denuded.

This time around I was at the source of the river Giri Ganga and this is another small temple the doors of which were closed. Outside in the cold the wooden God shivered and was covered in the ritualistic red and silver that devotees bring as offering to some power Gods and Godesses.

There is a glacial melt further up from this spot and here the river flows small and clean skirting the temple complex and is the source of the river that merges with the Yamuna river.

BTW right now the river bed of the Yamuna river downstream at Delhi is under the occupation of one hindu organization which with scant regard to the environment has managed to make it a song and dance show venue with political patronage much to the dismay of the Yamuna.

I am the first to admit that I am a real newby with CS3 and tend to stay in LR2, but I gave it a shot (please be forgiving editing godesses)! This is another that was not quite what I envisioned, but I still kind of liked it afterall.
