This is a simple story... That day, walking through the gardens, someone undoubtedly placed the glove, as seen in the photo, of the gardener so that he probably wouldn't go crazy looking for it...
The mystery will be where the other glove is?
We're enjoying all the snow accumulated during the blizzard over Christmas, but at the time, it wasn't a good idea to be outside for long. This was captured on my street (with my back to the wind) during Christmas Eve, with gale force icy winds, heavy snow, and drifting snow. A one second exposure made the snow look more like fog. Next time, I'll have to try for a faster shutter and not worry about noise with a high ISO - and wear gloves so I can stay out longer.
We kept our fingers and toes crossed that the electricity wouldn't go out - otherwise, we would have lost heat as well as the lights. We were lucky, which I'm grateful for, but many others were not. The irony is that tomorrow, the temperature is increasing again and it will rain.
Pink glove is a track by Pulp, and I think it sums up the beach and this rock pool, which held it's pink reflection for me! I was a bit annoyed at the bubbles on the water at the time, but as the tide had only just dropped, it was a bit obvious that would be the case!! Relax!
I have a reputation for loosing my gloves and hats (and sometimes umbrellas, too, if I ever use one) at a regular basis ... usually on the streetcar / tram, on the mountains or somewhere else out and about taking photos
... I don't mind wearing odd / different gloves (and socks) though, so I don't throw away the single ones ; ))

Crazy Tuesday - theme of February 22, 2022: Single
It was so windy that teetering on the steep hillsides made for a challenge to keep the tripod steady and my feet planted so the pebbles didnt go out from under me. Unfortunately its not a crisp shot but I love the sky, it kept the temps well below average for this time of the year. We needed gloves and a jacket.

Although I planned to spend the night in freezing conditions, I certainly wasn't expecting to wake to -6deg C outside my car. I made my way with camera gear in my pack, but even with gloves I couldn’t feel my fingers and struggled pressing the shutter release.
I took this photo about half way to the cliffs I’d planned to capture this morning, as I tramped past the red berries were slowly becoming visible as the ice around melted and created an interesting contrast against the white surroundings. About 180km north of Christchurch and maybe 75km inland, and shot looking up the Hope River valley (west).

We’re away for a few days on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains in the beautiful Methow valley. Hubby is fly fishing while I wander about a bit and sit on our screened porch watching butterflies and listening to the Twisp River.

At this time of year when the weather is so cold I don't leave the house without a pair of gloves. The little flower on the finger allows me to use my phone without removing the glove. So useful on bitterly cold days!

This spectacular moth was my #1 on my 'Most Wanted' list. In fact I have been wanting to find ANY species in this genus since I was a child. It was kind of my white whale! And yesterday, I finally did. I spotted this one while out with my boyfriend in the foothills outside Colorado Springs. I yelped expletives and literally jumped up and down, I was absolutely beside myself!
The moth, a male, was sitting on a pinecone on the ground. In this picture, my boyfriend is holding the pinecone, and giving his hand for size reference.

I like gloves. Gloves are kinda sexy. I once had a drawer full of gloves, all of which I found outside. Never bought a pair myself, because buying gloves was for wimps. Unless they're safety gloves for work or something. Well, actually those too. Fingerless however - those look badass. That's combat boots for the hands!
