A fresh male chalkhill blue basking in the summer sunshine on the lower slopes of the masts field at Prestbury Hill nature reserve near Cheltenham. This was taken this afternoon when I met up with flickr member Della Lack and her husband Hayden.
A cock stonechat perched in a hedgerow between Aggs Hill and Prestbury Hill nature reserve, this is the same bird that i uploaded a few days ago.

We didn't really get any spectacular sunsets on our week in Scotland, just the hint of one or two. This was the scene from the south bank of the Tay at Wormit, opposite Dundee, and a little 'Tay Glo' orangeness on a Scotrail unit heading south.

Usually, we are drawn to the light, but sometimes it isn't that inviting.
What is the Lucy apple? It’s a new variety of apple that’s a cross between Honeycrisp and Airlie Red (a red-fleshed apple also known as Hidden Rose), and embodies the best of both predecessors. A Lucy apple tastes sweet and tart with a crunchy texture, much like a Honeycrisp, but it gets its striking flesh color from Airlie Red. When you cut open a Lucy apple, the inside is mostly pinkish-red with a little bit of white.
The new variety comes in two types: Lucy Rose and Lucy Glo. The former is red on the outside and contains berry notes while the latter has a yellow skin and notable tanginess, according to Chelan Fresh, the Chelan, Washington-based creator, and grower of the Lucy.

One of six roe deer seen in local countryside this afternoon. This half grown roe kid was in a small group with her mother and another roe doe and her kid.

Glo is an international traveler. It's been a few years since we were able to connect in person. Finally made it happen in Bali, Indonesia. She introduced me to some amazing experiences.
