A little bog named Blutsee (Blood Lake) in the Irtenberger forest. The name stems from a type of algae that used to grow there and colored the wetland red.
The swamp is thought to have come about by fossilized pingo. From the 16th century onward, the region's meadows were used extensively. In Kleinrinderfeld's archives of 1812, the map shows a vast area of wet meadows. The 3.7 hectare (about 2.3 square miles) Blutsee (Bloodsee) got its name because of the growth of an algae named Euglena sanguinea that colors the water red. The growth of the algae has not increased in the past fifteen years. The area has been protected since 1996.

Another photo from our garden. I love that time of year when our vine is turning bright red. I played around with positioning the sun just at the edge of the leaf which caused this nice sunlit fringe to appear while also illuminating the leaf structure.
Sorry for not posting more often or taking the time to look at all your gorgeous photos. I dont have the time, but when I do, Im really enjoying all of your masterpieces! Take care!

I experimented with sprinkling gold glitter flecks onto my bubble today. I found the video of the bubbles deflating more interesting than the way the bubble itself. I posted the video to my Instagram account if you are interested, @auntneecey.

#macromondays #wrapping
For the great upcoming theme called #wrapping i decided to use a combination of a wonderful glittery wrapping paper together with a little helper! The wrapping cuter is pleased to help wrapping up all those gifts for the upcpoming Xmas! Even if he only meassures 15mm, he works like a big guy!
Gift wrapping is the act of enclosing a gift in some sort of material. Wrapping paper is a kind of paper designed for gift wrapping. An alternative to gift wrapping is using a gift box or bag. A wrapped or boxed gift may be held closed with ribbon and topped with a decorative bow (an ornamental knot made of ribbon).
The use of wrapping paper is first documented in ancient China, where paper was invented in 2nd century BC. In the Southern Song dynasty, monetary gifts were wrapped with paper, forming an envelope known as a chih pao. The wrapped gifts were distributed by the Chinese court to government officials. In the Chinese text Thien Kung Khai Wu, Sung Ying-Hsing states that the coarsest wrapping paper is manufactured with rice straws and bamboo fiber.

Seaweed in a Rock Pool at the bottom of my garden....I'm ashamed to say that I don't know what you call this seeing the sea is at the bottom of my garden and it is such a common seaweed too. I'm just starting to see the beauty on the beach while taking these type of pictures. Love the glittery look to this picture though this is probably a fault in photography...lol
