It seems so :-) Anyway, it looked like this on my desk ... In the dark, with two light sources – guess which one? ... That's right, twice bike lights in red and white ;-) And they illuminate small balls that are sprinkled with fine glittering mica, which stays more or less ...

So scheint es :-) Jedenfalls sah es hier auf meinem Schreibtisch so aus ... Im Dunkeln, mit zwei Lichtquellen – ratet mal welche? ... Stimmt, zweimal Fahrradbeleuchtung in Rot und Weiß ;-) Und diese beleuchten kleine Kugeln, die mit feinem glitzernden Glimmer bestreut sind, der mehr oder weniger haftet ...

A small tree that the icy winter winds of the Bohemian Ore Mountains have transformed into a beautiful sculpture.
The visibility this morning near Cínovec was actually no more than what can be seen here (i.e. de facto close to zero). It gives this view a minimalist appearance that absolutely fascinated me and still does.
And if it hadn't been so incredibly uncomfortable that day because of the really strong icy wind, I would have liked to explore the area further. But after 15 minutes of being outside, my capacity for suffering had already been exhausted, and I was afraid that if I stayed here any longer, I would soon look like the tree.

Ein klein Baum, den die eisigen Winterwinde des böhmischen Erzgebirges in eine wunderschöne Skulptur verwandelt haben.
Die Sichtweite an diesem Morgen in der Nähe von Cínovec war tatsächlich nicht mehr, als man hier sehen kann (also defacto nahe Null). Sie verleiht diesem Anblick eine minimalistische Erscheinung, die mich absolut fasziniert hat und das noch immer tut.
Und wäre es an dem Tag nicht wegen dem wirklich starken eisigen Wind so unfassbar ungemütlich gewesen, hätte ich die Gegend gern noch weiter erkundet. Doch meine Leidensfähigkeit war nach 15 Minuten im Freien bereits ausgereizt, und ich hatte die Befürchtung, dass ich, wenn ich noch länger hier bleibe, bald so aussehen würde, wie der Baum,

One of my favorite places in Bavaria...so much to see and do in this area..almost magical.This was not the view I was hoping to capture from above but the bridge was closed for renovations and SOOOO many people...next time early LOL. I did not go inside this time as last when I visited this incredible structure with my father and camera in tow 30 years ago...a whirlwind trip of castles and Bavaria in one day!!! Please allow at least a week or two if possible and then you still wont have seen all the beauty this pristine landscape has to offer!!.
What did impress me when I was inside on the last trip was not the glamor and detail of the interior but the view that I saw as I looked out of the window and saw the lake with swans gliding gently through the waters and the boyhood home of King Ludwig called Howenschwangau.....the previous image I posted. The guide informed us that my very favorite artist of all time Leonardo daVinci 's plan of central heating and air was implemented in this structure...what incredible vision for all who had anything to do with the design..!!!
Walt Disney actually modeled his castle after this..if you look really closely you will find two para-sailers ...far braver souls than I would be in this rugged terrain...

I was lucky to turn a corner and come upon this magnificent Grey Crowned Crane in soft light just before dusk. There was a nice breeze across the Masai Mara which really ruffled her feathers in a wonderful way.
Oddly enough, it kinda reminds me of Marilyn Monroe standing over the windy subway grate in the "Seven Year Itch";)
