I bin lookin' out fer munny wiv the new king on but I still ain't fownd any... all my munny's got kweens on like the coins I got 'ere. 'Ave any of yew lot 'ad a new King coin yet?"

TED: "Marmite's brill, Donald! Speshully on 'ot buttered toast! I no yew don't 'ave it in 'Merica but yer missin' a treat!

This pussle's shaped like a Marmite jar - see, I got the real fing out of the cubberd to compare it. It's a dubble-sided pussel too, so that's twice the fun.

I'd luv to keep the ginormus plastic jar wot it comes in, but Mum sed no, we got enuff clutter, so we'll be donatin' it to charrity as ushual."

DONALD: "Er, I took a quick sniff of that Marmite, Ted, and I don't think I'll be trying it anytime soon! As you say, you either love it or hate it, and I'm in the latter camp!

But the puzzle was fun to make, even if we had to flip it part-way thru to make sure of getting all the plain black and white pieces in the right places!"

TED: "Kwik! Before Dad comes back! 'E's bin werkin' on this ginormus pussle fer the last 9 days an' Mum wuz gonna take a foto when 'e finnished, but I erm, 'borrowed' Mum's camra while they wuz out today so yew cud see wot 'e's bin doin' - wiv my 'elp of corse!

I took a selfie cuz it makes the foto more int'restin', dunnit?

Anybobs, this is a 3,000 peece jigsaw of peepul in a art gallery by sum ole bloke called Zoffany (no, I never 'eard of 'im eether).

This is the pussle wot Mum knocked over back in Jannerary, an' we prommissed we'd 'ave anuvver 'go' at it sooner or later.

This time Dad sorted it out onto 3 boards: the rite hand side is 1500 peeces and then the left hand side is on 2 more bords of 750 peeces each.

Wiv me so far?

When it's finnished we'll put it on 4 big white bords fer a foto an' yew can see the finnished articul!

Rite, better get back to werk, they'll be back frum there day out soon. See ya!"

TED: "I fink Mum wanted to do a pussle wot didn't look like a road accident - like the last one we did lol - so we did this one, a grate big round one wot looks like a plate. It's got Chinese ladys playin' musicle instrooments an it's ever so pritty. There's only free 'undred peeces in it so we did it kwik last nite. I sed, 'why don't we save this one fer Liliana, she'll like it?' So Mum's put it aside fer 'er now. She's only 10 but she's neerly as good as me at doin' jigsaw pussles."

TED: "Phew, this wuz a reely reely 'ard pussle, so I'm ever so glad I diddunt 'elp out wiv it! Dad dun most of it an' Mum interfered - I mean HELPED (!) - when it wuz neerly finnished. It's a map of Lundun but yew need a maggnifyin' glass to read it propperly cuz there's so much in it. It's ginormus too, as big as a fifteen 'undred peece pussle, so 'e 'ad to do it on two bords an' then join it togevver fer a foto. I 'ope 'e don't find no more jigsaws like this, me an' Mum'll be glad to see the back of it."

i just kinda looked over and like BAM this photo was there lol :] they were posing for her mom from the front, but i loved this view, especially since it was accidental! haha :]

Business as usual for the Catholic Church in NYC. The Capuchin Monastery attached to the Church of St.John the Baptist has closed. It will be replaced by a shopping mall.

The Monastery was built in 1974 designed by a unknown architect in the Brutalist style.

The statue of Christ was the first thing and last thing seen by countless conmuters on their daily commute going through Penn Station across the street. The figure of Christ has been removed but the interesting bronze and stained glass background remains in place. Hopefully it will be purchased by an enterprising salvage company and see a new life somewhere.

If you were one of the Donors who helped to pay for the monastery please contact the Archdiocese. I am sure they will be happy to reimburse you from the ginormus profit they are making on this deal.

But don't worry the giant profit goes to a worthy cause, the Archbishops high security underground bunker like garage behind St. Patricks has begun so everything is OK.

TED: "This pussle's got a teeny tiny box an' a ginormus pikchur! It wuz kwite 'ard cuz sum of the peeces diddunt fit propperly, even when I turned it over an' used the letters on the back. I no that's cheatin' but so wot? It's a luvly pikchur but I'll be givin' it to the charity shop asap."

A ginormus Festivus pole encircled by a spiral of metallic people performing the traditional "airing of grievances" and "feats of strength".

Actually, the photo is of a sculpture that was at Expo '86 in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1986.

Happy Festivus (for the rest of us) anyway!

Yes, that is a ginormus alligator balloon "looking over" the crowd and the other balloons light up. For scale, note people in lower left corner.

These are lemons on steroids, haha. They look like grapefruit (suha) but they're really lemons. These are from our backyard. Bottom lemon is your common garden variety size lemon so you can actually see the scale of these monsters. Both sizes are from the same tree believe it or not. They're really sour and one fruit can yield about a cup of lemon juice. I had brought some to work couple of times and gave some to friends and still there is a lot left on the tree. I am amazed the tree (about 10 feet tall) can hold and carry so much without the branches breaking-off or pulling them to the ground.

TED: "So this is annuvver of them Pommygranite pussles wiv ginormus peeces an' it's reel nice too. S'brite an' cullerfull wiv lots goin' on, an' it's a pikchur of Ostraylia.

The big peeces is dead eazy to pick up, not like the ones in them lickle tiny woodun jigsaws wot Mum likes collectin', but that don't mean I wanna keep it, cuz I don't - we got enuff clutter!"

Ted! Annette! I'm glad you could come, how you doin', give me your coats. Everybody, this is Ted and Annette Fleming! Ted has a small carpet cleaning business in receivership; Annette's drawing a salary from a deferred bonus from two years ago! They got fifteen thousand left on the house at eight percent.

So they're okay! So, does anybody wanna play Parcheesi?

I tried to write a Six Word Sci Fi story... I'm pretty sure I failed miserably.

Oglethorp: We have successfully traveled beyond and across both space and time through the Fargate. To get free cable!

Emory: I think it's a Stargate?

Oglethorp: It's the Fargate! "F"! It's different from that movie, which I have never seen, so how would I copy it?

Emory: Chill, man. It's alright. Let's just turn it on.

Oglethorp: I just want to make sure that we are clear it's the Fargate. "Goes far." Get it? And there is no way it came from that movie or that syndicated series based on the movie.

Emory: But it sure was a good movie.

Oglethorp: Ya, yes it was. Turn on the TV, maybe it's on!

This, folks, is my good buddy Trey. I suppose you could say he's more than just a buddy. He lives across the field from me in Navy housing, as his wife is also active duty. When she's gone, I am his surrogate wife, and when Kurt's underway, Trey is my surrogate husband. It was Trey I called when there was a ginormus palmetto bug in my upstairs landing so he could kill it for me -- and he did. It was Trey who convinced me that we could ride out Hurricane Irene together when Kurt was away last summer. And it's Trey who, along with my friend Chasity, is always more than willing to watch my kids if I need a break. Plus he's a good ol' Texas boy who makes amazing beans and a mean brisket. It's he whom we bought the Coors Light for as a gift; THAT is how much we love him.

I'm so fortunate to have made such wonderful friends so quickly into moving here, as I was really worried about leaving my great support system in Rhode Island. And I'm even more fortunate that Trey moved here right around the same time we did, which means he won't up and leave in a year, which is what usually happens when I meet someone with whom I really hit it off.

I am just a lucky, lucky girl.

Many thanks to my awesome manpod, Kurt.

I uploaded so early so I would remember my dream.

I had a really weird dream that my friend drove me home on my birthday and for some reason my birthday was on Halloween rather than January and then I went inside my house and my moms side of the family was there and then it alll changed and it was some sort of party at sunset and this guy with a gun was just standing outside and some girl that I barely know was telling us that he was trying to shoot one of her friends but he was just standing there then the dream changed and I was at my friend who drove me homes house and her friends and family were there and then we were at a block part for a little then at a hotel room with all of this water- a big pool, a chair with water, and three beds and two desks. This guy with orange hair that my friend likes was with us and so was my friend and I started taking pictures of these small ducks and other tiny objects that came in small boxes that was a book and then we went back to the block party and I left and I went to an art store with a ginormus parking lot and this guy that I like who sits infront of me in math class told me that my friend was shot at the block party and we walked down to the hospital and after we looked around the hospital but didn't see her yet I woke up.

Yup. I had to share that so I would remember it.

TED: "I got Mum to take a foto this evenin' of me an' me ginormus jigsaw wot I bin workin' on. I'd bin workin' on it all day - wiv a bit of 'elp frum Dad - an' it wuz goin' well.

I 'ad a drink an' sum choklit to keep me strengf up, an' I wuz really pleased wiv 'ow it wuz all goin', but then DISASTER!!! Mum knocked the bord an' all the pussle fell on the floor!!!

She 'ad a hissy fit an' 'er an' Dad flung all the peeces back in the box! I kept well out the way cuz I diddunt wanna get involved... yew don't wanna get near Mum when she's got a strop on!

Ennyway, the upshot is we ain't got a big pussle to do now, an' we'll probly start a new (smaller) one tomorrer.

Me speshul 1000K project is still goin' ahead but 'course I'm a bit behind now. *shakes fist at Mum's back*

Neat little German folder I bought last week. Aluminum fenders/mudguards, working lights, rack, and a nicely working Komet coaster brake.

Future upgrades will include a Sturmey S5/2 hub, an ARO 100mm front drum hub(that will make the lil' poop stop), alloy rims, Ideale saddle, and different stem and bars.

I've already laced the rear rim, will true that later in the week. I'll need to cut and thread spokes for the front. The ARO hub has a ginormus flange on the brakes side. The small side is about one quarter the size so I gots to go back to Spocalc and reconbobulate what spokes I'll need for the front.

The tilted horizon is due to my setting the camera down on the cobbled middle of the road. I may or may not be quoting Bob Ross when I say it was a happy accident. I like how the tilt make the photo turn out and I like it better than the straight horizon verzion (which I checked by picking up my monitor and tilting the screen).

What d'ya'll think?

The Heart Nebula is an emission nebula some 7500 light years away from Earth and located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. It displays glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes. The ionized gas is excited mainly by the open star cluster, IC1805, which contains a few bright stars nearly 50 times the mass of the Sun, and many more dim stars that are only a fraction of the Sun's mass.

The brightest part of the Heart Nebula (a knot at the lower left of the main nebula) is separately classified as NGC 896, The nebula's intense red output and its morphology are driven by the radiation emanating from a small group of stars near the its center.

Adjacent to the Heart Nebula (and a piece of it is visible at the upper right of this pic) is the Soul Nebula, which is so named only because of its proximity and relationship to the Heart. A pic of the Soul is immediately adjacent to this one on this Flickr site; both were obtained on the same astro-camping trip. The Heart and the Soul are part of one ginormus system; see more details about this in the description of the Soul Nebula

Here's the story about this picture. So me and my best friend were walking in the back yard, when she was like, OMG amanda a spider! and im not by her, and i said just walk away. she then said, THIS THNG IS HUGE ! and i walked by it and im like holy ..... so I took a picture of it, went back to my dad in the front yard, and he told me it was a banana spider and i wouldn't get poinsened if i got bit. so i took more photos of this scary thing. the next morning, my friends bastard of a brother smashed it >:[
