Mark, the Cuban Treefrog (Osteopilus septentrionalis) changes colors, not typically to blend into an environment, but based on temperature and mood. This is similar to chameleons, who often communicate with one another through their flashy displays. Interestingly, the treefrog's skin is fused to his skull, an adaptation that minimizes water loss. Also, so invasive is this species that if you get caught selling one in Hawaii (where the these frogs have colonized Oahu), you could wind up in jail and paying fines of up to $25,000!
Mark lives in captivity after being rescued from what would have been an ill-fated trip stowing away on a greenhouse shipment.

It's been a while I haven't posted a new shot of my kids. :-)
This is Dany, my son and my pride and joy. He is such a happy child that he fills the entire house with his laughter.

Another day, another grad-photo-shoot.
I dont mind, I love taking photos too much to turn anyone down..
This time we took a vehicle and drove around in our valley, taking photos at random spots that appealed to me.
I used flash in about 98% of the photos. The rest of the time it didn't work. My wireless transmitter for the flash has moods.
For this photo we were at the "cabin" and there was this shack over a pile of wood to keep it dry. It wasn't build 100% waterproof. One of noticed the crack and everybody was high from giggling, so they joined in. Except for my wonderful assistant. Thanks evy..
Their giggling is so contagious, and made for some shots, that are so hilarious.

Giggling Tibetan Girls – In the hill station of Darjeeling, there is a large Tibetan community – refugees who originally fled when the Chinese occupied Tibet in 1949. Many of the refugees have stayed on and a proud Tibetan Community is establishing itself in Darjeeling. I visited the Tibetan Refugee Centre, where artists create handicrafts, carvings and textiles to support the community. It used to care for the orphans who lost their families during the occupation and the exodus. There were a number of children playing when I entered the courtyard, and one little boy ran up to me and whacked me on the bum with his cricket bat, and then ran away laughing. I was playing basketball with a few children, and these girls came up to me and greeted me. We were making silly faces at each other and I asked if I could take their picture … their playfulness and smiles left me feeling hopeful. Free Tibet.
