… in the late Winter afternoon light. On the jetty is Cadwaladers, Cardiff’s most popular ice cream parlour. The brick building in the background is the Victorian Pierhead Centre, masking most of the sleek Contemporary Senedd Building, home of the Welsh Parliament.

and we put boundaries to not recognize love.”

All the photos I present were taken in the town of Taormina (Sicily);
I made photos related to "street photography";
I made portraits of people I did not know, this certainly thanks to their sympathy and availability, I thank them very much;
I tried to capture the essence of minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate nella cittadina di Taormina (Sicilia);
ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho realizzato dei ritratti di persone che non conoscevo, questo certamente grazie alla loro simpatia e disponibilità, li ringrazio davvero molto;

Naples is the third-largest city of Italy after Rome and Milan and one of the most densely populated cities in Europe. First settled by Greeks in the second millennium BC, Naples is one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban areas in the world. In the 6th century BC, it was refounded as Neápolis. Naples' historic city centre is the largest in Europe and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Pizza was invented here but the restaurants in Naples have earned the most stars from the Michelin Guide of any Italian city. People awarded the honorary citizenship of Naples are: Sophia Loren & Diego Maradona. When Maradona arrived in Naples, they won the Italian and European titles for the first time. Maradona’s photo was hung next to Jesus in half of the homes of Naples. Naples is a real raw working city, a place with fascinating art and viewpoints, spontaneous conversations and unexpected, pleasant attitude. Naples has an enormous wealth of cultural treasures. You will find two royal palaces, three castles and ancient ruins with some of the oldest frescoes of Christianity.
The Fontana del Gigante is a monumental fountain in Naples. It was designed in the 17th century by Michelangelo for the Royal Palace of Naples, but in 1905, it was moved to it present picturesque site near the Castel dell'Ovo. It is also called the Fontana dell'Immacolatella. The Castle dell’Ovo is located on the island of Megaride in Naples. This castle has always been a powerful and unbreakable fortress to control the land and the sea since for centuries. It was the place of innumerable war events during the conflicts. The last battle took place in 1809. It is the oldest standing fortification in Naples, as the site has believed to have been fortified since the 6th century BC by the Greeks. The castle had even the role of prison. From the the wharf you come directly to the main entrance. From the terrace you can admire on one side the city and on the other the expanse of the sea with the Vesuvius on the other side of the Gulf of Naples. Today especially in the evening it's a very cozy place, for there are many bars and restaurants.

Toad in the Bokeh
I've been doing a lot of flowers lately and needed a little change of pace. Sooo, here's a toad. I really must get out of my house and backyard once in a while! :)

... every two months, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina (Sicily) sends me on a mission for three days (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Saint Anne ... In my spare time, free from commitments of work, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs I present here were all taken in February of this year 2022; I took photos according to the dictates of street photography, I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand and very willing to let themselves be photographed (maybe ... that the islanders are open-minded, eager and used to communicate with strangers ..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work, some fishermen were intent on repairing their nets, a lady showed me one of her beautiful work, a blanket she made with knitting needles , hanging on her balcony (it reminded me of the shawls my grandmother made, also made with hand knitting needles); all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except three, taken in the dark in the port of Milazzo, the port of departure and arrival with hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands.
