I joined a gym last week! Today I took a body conditioning class that kicked my ass. I will be sore for days. I haven't worked out that hard since my hockey days. Anyway I am focused on getting healthy not to mention my pre-baby body back. I've also committed to this 365 but feel I haven't been giving it my all. I'm starting to feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends and it's only the beginning. I'm hoping to keep on keeping on with both. We shall see.
but I'm telling myself I'll be ok, even on my weakest days. I get a little bit stronger.
But it's still hard. . .

Last night I had a dream about my Father...
I have them from time to time.
They're usually a little distressing...
Of him in bed sick or in the hospital before he died.
This one was a little different...
It was ME who was in hospital.
I'd been there over night and they told me I could go home now...
They told me there was someone in the waiting room for me...
Who had been there all night too...
I opened the door and there sitting amongst a group of other waiting people...
Was my Father!
He stood up and walked over to me...
And gave me the biggest hug!
He stood so tall and strong and it was so damn vivid...
The clothes he wore, the hat he wore and the expression on his face.
Just as I remembered him all those years ago when he was well.
Then I woke up!
It made me cry!
But not really tears of sadness...
More an emotional response to what had just happened.
It wasn't like most of the dreams I have had over the past 20 years since he died...
He looked so strong and healthy this time...
It was like he was there this time to look after me!
It was like he knew I'd been going through sad times.
When I woke up this morning I had to right it down.
It's comforting to know that the ones we lose...
We never really lose...
They're always with us when we need them! %-)

This is Ramona, who couldn't use her right front leg at all for a week after her difficult birth. The radial nerve was damaged and left the leg paralyzed. The prognosis was not good at first, but eventually she began to regain feeling and at three weeks of age she is improving every day, When she runs the leg seems to work reflexively.
Achilles still hasnt managed to do an upward flight yet. And she is still not good at landing. Her balance is a bit askew and one wing seems different - perhaps that is why she couldnt fly (apart from her tail feathers not being ready - but they are now)

This photo shows me doing a warm up rep. I'm not actually that weak as the photo shows a 35lb plate on each side. You need to do warm up reps before you can lift the real deal. You don't want to strain or pull a muscle. I hope this photo can show everyone that it's ok to rack a little less weight in order to get a full pump going on.
