離開了最熱門的LAS TORRES路段，我開始懷疑我的GUIDE BOOK作者到底是不是真的HIKE過這段稱為W的步道。
步道上的MARK明顯變少，要不是一路上還遇到滿多HIKER的，我一定走不出去。

選REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS當落腳點是因為從地圖上看，這間小屋離LOS CUERNOS似乎最近，似乎比較有充裕的時間爬到上頭有個叫做百內GROUND的地方。但事實上走過之後，我寧可選REFUGIO PEHOE當作深入的據點。(如果有扛帳棚不需住小屋的話當然有更多CAMP SITE可選擇)
因為從REFUGIO PEHOE到LOS CUERNOS雖然公里數較長，但一路平坦，且，最重要的是，這一路上都看得見，那，美麗的，城堡般的，王冠般的，令人措手不及的，LOS CUERNOS。
從REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS雖然可以看到LOS CUERNOS，但若想看見那，美麗的，令人震撼的，冠冕般的，LOS CUERNOS，(角度問題)，則是必須，曲曲折折，上上下下，鑽來鑽去，沒風景，像我家後面隨隨便便的山一樣沒特色，還要踩泥濘。

不知道為啥REFUGIO CHILENO的STAFF竟然叫我帶一封信給REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS的STAFF。讓我走在PATAGONIA山中卻有種咪咪流浪記和靈犬雪利的感覺。然後REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS的STAFF有請我喝一杯熱可可和一塊很像我們的油炸雙胞胎的麵粉小點心(不知道跟帶那封信有沒有關)

REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS算是我呆的這三間之中最"深山"的小屋，嚴重感受到PATAGONIA善變到誇張的天氣：
湖面上，白白粉末狀不明物，隨狂風捲起，大家還正在猜那是沙子還是湖面被風捲起的水，突然，風平浪靜，天邊掛上‧兩道彩虹。大家驚叫，快門閃閃閃。(但我還是呆呆在窗邊捨不得移開視線更不可能回房間拿相機)
(窗外有兩個人特地跑出去"跟風對抗")←基本上只要能站住就贏
有天半夜，風大到，像N級地震，因為小屋旁邊的樹，被狂風吹得整夜都在"鞭打"小屋，真怕小屋就這麼散掉。

REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS的浴室門口有紅色的小燈，但亮度只夠讓人知道那裡是入口。
REFUGIO PEHOE的浴室房間內就有正常電燈了。

在REFUGIO LOS CUERNOS特地選了一個面窗的床位且外面是LOS CUERNOS(雖然這角度並不太美)，但同寢的人偏偏要在窗邊掛衣服或拉下窗簾。
其中一位STAFF的男友每天晚上吉他談唱民歌風
這間小屋唯一的缺點是，跟REFUGIO CHILENO比起來，暖爐不夠暖，2004年唯一的感冒是發生在這裡。
在REFUGIO PEHOE頭兩天搶到面湖的床，而且這間小屋設計真好，窗戶一大堆，我可以躺著看到LAGO PEHOE上的日出。第三天搶到面對百內群山(LOS CUERNOS+LAS TORRES)的床，天氣很冷，我在床上等夕陽。(那幾天早上山邊都是雲，直到下午雲才散)
其實REFUGIO CHILENO也有一個房間(浴室隔壁的)的某張床位可從窗戶看到一點點TORRES DEL PAINE，但當時那房間漏水地毯都發臭，所以他們不讓我住...

Today Jim, my boss, had a picnic at his house and I went to it. He and his wife went through a lot of trouble to see that I had food to eat because I'm vegan, and it was all really sweet and made me happy. They have two really cute slobbery beagles that would stand right next to you and stare at you when you had food. I liked them a lot, even if they only wanted my chocolate cake. On the way to the picnic, I got lost for a little bit and ended up in some development-type thing where construction was still going on. Now, there aren't really any hills around where I live, so it was awesome to see the hills pictured above, even if they were on the small side and were just the result of construction work. They reminded me of the hills and mountains of Kentucky (a very scaled down version, that is) which is awesome because I love it there and desperately want to roadtrip down there. Oh, a not-so-good part of today- when I went to leave Jim's, I was parked in the middle of everyone in his horseshoe-shaped driveway, and the only way out was to drive through the yard. This was okay, but there was a tree close to me on my left side and something else on the right side. I was paying attention and Jim was helping me to get out, but nonetheless I scraped by the tree and it dented a little part above the headlight. It could've been worse and at least I was trying my best to be careful, but it still sucked. At least the bad part was somewhat countered with going to Goodwill and finding 3 shirts I liked, kitty envelopes, and Harry Potter wrapping paper and party napkins. Also, I dropped film off at Walgreens before going to Goodwill, and when I went to go pick it up afterwards the lady said that the machine was broken and since I didn't live in the area I'd get it for free when I pick it up. Now THAT was awesome. Lastly, it's my manly friend and I's 10 months this Monday, and we're going to go do cool stuff and things. I'm really excited.
