Saturday evening Kay and I went to the cadet area on the Air Force Academy. As so often happens, I went there looking for one shot and came away with something different.
Traditionally I look to the west for color in the sky after sunset. The sun has been setting north of Pikes Peak, so I thought there might be some color behind the chapel if I looked Northwest. Nope, but I did spot a faint violet haze on the eastern horizon just before last light, which made an excellent backdrop for the chapel.

I loved the feeling of serenity this moment created.

... Even handheld, one can document the tiny natural world and capture photos complementing the story of a single hike beyond what a casual hiker will spot. One just needs to be open to getting their knees dirty ... #etbtsy

One of the most awe inspiring sites I saw in Iceland were the massive glaciers filling up mountain valleys. I struggled to convey my feelings about these ancient giants in a picture.
Then, I saw these four tourists. Like children, they kicked off their shoes, rolled up their pants and ran onto the lakebed to witness the glacier reflecting in the lake. Their footprints told the story of their enthusiasm, and mine.
Every now and then we face many problem in life
Once we get past them there just layers of life
This layers makes us who we are
Like this guy fighting in this fierce world
Every day is battle Field facing the problems one by one
Eventually here he is behind all those layers of His life
Ready to fight another day

New Years Morning - I spent the first morning of 2018 on a frozen lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was very cold and the wind was blowing, but I couldn't have been happier.
Tech Tip: I often consult an app called "Clear Outside" which predicts cloud cover. If I see a good mix of high, low and medium clouds to the east, I have a pretty good idea it is going to be a colorful sunrise.
Happy 2018
I really like dreamy out of focus backgrounds. Shallow depth of field light shimmering on the lake. Perfect.
Kay and I explored the Red Feathers Lake area this weekend. We experienced a really great sunset on Saturday night. This lake house looked like a great place to enjoy it.

The English phrase 'get lost' is sometimes used as a rude way of telling someone to 'go away'. Another use - often using the past-tense - means someone was 'unable to find their way'. For others still, this phrase instills excitement and maybe even the start of an adventure: historically speaking, most new places were discovered by someone who 'got lost'!
Ruba tutti i colori del mondo e dipingi la tela della tua vita eliminando il grigio delle paure e delle ansie.
Abbandona i tuoi vecchi abiti mentali e vestiti di allegria.
