“Different people have different traits, but one thing that all old friends have in common is that they make us happy. When anyone else in your life abandons you, there is always someone there for you, and he is an old friend as well as a genuine one.” -Unknown
First constructed in the early-mid 50s it became a star in the hands of prominent LA rodder, Ian Cusey who raced it and in 1961 replaced the venerable flat head with a new 283 V8 and painted it with Plymouth 'Jade Green' paint. It was very well known and graced the covers of several HotRod magazines as well as the cover of the 'Astronauts' record 'Competition Coupe' (not up there with Abbey Road......) Meticulously restored to original...warts and all, it is magnificent in it's jade green sparkle, and no glass.....

Reinhold has extensively travelled on all continents, and did write several great books. His peculiar journeys started 52 years, and have never stopped since.
Leisure time to him means a good gulp of red wine and a crinkly bonfire. Oh, forgot to mention, his fondness of fine smelling tobacco.....
A tripod shot.

No matter how many times I look at this pic, I read it as Genuine Burrito Brand. Especially right around lunch time.

This is another shot from Pride and this human really struck me as many surrounding people were more of in a celebratory mood. Be true to your emotions no matter what. There is a time for us each to celebrate, to grieve, to continue to fight for justice on Earth. ***All photos are copyrighted**

This Snow Goose is a bit lost. It's been spotted hanging around Oviedo, Florida.

I had one of my better days on CBNS' eastern end yesterday with both trains unusually running in daylight. The evening began chasing 701 from Port Hawkesbury to Havre Boucher, and then chasing 305 back west from Havre Boucher to James River. After getting majorly shafted with shadows at the Afton sag, this wound up being a solid consolation prize. CBNS 3365 leads westbound 305 up the grade at Afton Station catching some sweet last rays of the day, before the clouds would have the final say. The day would not have been possible without my wife allowing me to make the mini road trip to CB and back, so a huge shoutout to her for looking after both kids while I chased. Before anyone asks, I made it up to her today with a family beach day, and in the process rewarded myself with a solid sunburn on my neck and arm!
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a
beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
I've got a bit of a SSC project on the go at the moment, so I've been working through a lot of my old shots. I've come across this one which I took back in February, and I'm surprised I hadn't already posted it.
I'm thinking that I convinced myself at the time that although I love the lighting, the colour was just too much. Looking at it now however, I'm not quite so sure.
Maybe its a bit of a marmite shot.
Would welcome anyone's thoughts
-Added to theCream of the Crop pool as my best of 2008.
This creature is over 9 feet tall and, I am told, can disembowel a man with a kick from these mighty feet. He can be found at Knowsley Safari Park, Liverpool.
Well this is a first for me, after much deliberation and consideration, I'm throwing away my OCD habit of posting photos on here chronologically. My friend Geoff and I just spent the past four days in Maine, starting Sunday afternoon, we chased a spreader from Masardis to Scopan Lake. This was my first spreader/plow train to see in person, so it was very interesting to chase this all day. The parting shot of our first day in Maine was along Scopan Lake where the spreader came through at sunset with two tanks for Presque Isle, making it a genuine plow train, complete with an SBU on the tail end.
