Pink Mother – Genetic Candidate 2.0
Nur mehr das Flackern der Schatten ließ die Zeit erahnen. Tiefe Falten zogen sich über die Wangen und die verschlossenen Augen lagen in verschatteten Höhlen eines kantigen Schädelknochens. Irrlichtern wirkte ihr Körper, zum Schluss zerbrechlich, war sie doch über hundert Jahre eine Ikone im Kampf gegen die Föderation gewesen. Umanita hatte lange weiße Haare, die meterweit auf den Marmorboden auflagen. Die weißen Platten wirkten dadurch gläsern und durch eine optische Täuschung der parallel liegenden Strähnen im Kerzenschein konnte man meinen, Wasserwellen würden über den Boden schleichen. Doch es war still. Nur der Lebenskampf der Kerzenflammen ließ den nächtlichen Saphirwind erahnen.
Im steinernen Styx glitt ihre Seele, falls sie nun eine hatte zur gallertartigen Interface Platte in der großen Halle, von der schon orange Lichtstrahlen durch das riesenhafte Tor auf den Jasmin-Stein fielen auf den Umanita in ihren letzten Bewegungen lag. Umanita, das heißt große Mutter in der Sprache der aphrygischen Wissenschaftler, denn sie war der erste stabile Prototyp, nachdem die ganze Serie 1 zu emotional oder aggressiv ausfiel. Freilich war ein unabhängiges Emotionsmuster wichtig für eine Autoitelligente Lebensform, doch entgegen der Berechnungen fing Umanita an zu altern. Zu dem Zeitpunkt wurden bereits ganze Heere von Klonen gezüchtet und nun da sie tatsächlich im Sterben lag, war unklar welchem Wesen die Kampfmaschinerie gehorchen würde. Sie hatte zu Lebzeiten öfters angedeutet, dass sie sich als eigene Rasse verstand, die einer Evolution unterworfen war die anderen Prinzipien folgte.
Ihre einst stahlblauen, blitzenden Augen ruhen nun hinter den runzeligen Liedern. Zeige- und Mittelfinger ihrer rechten Hand schienen sich ein bis zwei Millimeter aufzuspreizen als sich ihr Brustkorb doch noch hob. Beinahe unhörbar stieg die letzte Wärme aus ihren Lippen in ihr altes Universum während ihre vorher traurig-müde Miene in ein schwer zu deutendes und zartes Lächeln überging.
Die Priester starrten nun nur mehr auf das Interface. Das Flackern der Schatten lässt die Zeit erahnen.
