"Roll cloud" is a low, elongated cloud, which is part of the numerous types of accessory clouds of a storm front (Fractocumulus genus), which signals the "gust line", or the change of wind just before the arrival of precipitation, along the virtual lines of air convergence and thermal discontinuity.
On the sea, as on the plains, the Roll cloud, formed by colder and denser air than the one it finds, literally rolls (and rolls up) at low altitude, skimming the ground, which unlike other frontal clouds, can sometimes move away from the storm that generated it for many tens of kilometers, thus resulting, in such cases, a harmless windy residue, but, as in this case, in the interaction with a more marked orography it tends to become irregular and therefore to dissolve.
The Roll cloud in the photo was formed on the sea by condensing the cooler air descended, through rain and hail, from the considerable T-storm that brought the water of the whole month in less than 3 hours on all the areas facing the Gulf of Trieste.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜
A stunning species that generates more blooms per square yard than any other Etlingera. The foliage is 6-9 foot high and prefers partial shade.
Plants of the ginger family called Zingiberaceae are a diverse group of perennial herbs with over 50 genera and 1500 species spread throughout tropical and subtropical regions.
All gingers are closely related to heliconias, flowering bananas, cannas, and marantas. Although gingers are found throughout the forests of Malaysia, they are relatively new to our landscaping industry. Due in part to their large showy flowers, they have gained rapid popularity as garden elements. Plus it's an excellent and long lasting cut flower.

I wish, they only last a day or two. This is my first Epiphyllum bloom of the season.

The Tanner's Creek plant is no being dismantled. Opened in 1954 it was once one of the most efficient in the U.S.
End of the line, or just the beginning, depending on your destination, one of the newest stations on the London Undergound having been opened in September 2021, right in the heart of London in zone 1 & partly funded by the nearby Battersea Power Station redevelopment, a very trendy area on the banks of the Thames.
A dramatic duo tone of the imposing & impressive New Slains Castle. This impressive tower house ruin is perched on a precarious cliff edge near the Aberdeenshire Village of Cruden Bay. The castle inspired Bram Stoker for the supernatural tale of Dracula. I thought a dramatic toned b&w image would generate the kind of atmosphere that Bram Stoker imagined.

Flickr Support have asked me to leave my photograph up if it does not appear in your 'update feed' and start generating views as I would normally expect. This is so that their engineers can try to get to the bottom of the issue that continues to plague my account.
My ongoing and intermittent issue is that of my photos not appearing in your activity feeds for a long period of time before suddenly doing so. This "lag" is currently being investigated.
As a result this image may have fewer views and favourites than would be expected for a time.
Poolbeg Generating Station colloquially known as The Poolbeg Stacks, is a power station owned and operated by the Electricity Supply Board of Ireland (ESB).
The plant is located on the Poolbeg peninsula in Ringsend, Dublin, on the south bank of Dublin Port. Its two chimneys, at just over 207 metres, are visible over much of Dublin, particularly Sandymount Strand, making them well-known landmarks and some of the tallest structures in Ireland.
This image was taken from Sandymount Strand as the early morning mist rolls in along the seashore.
