I know you've seen this top before, but it's one of my faves and I was wearing it again today when I went out to some Antiques and Collectors fairs today.
The boots are new though - they're new mid-calf boots I bought in the DUO sale (who have rebranded as Ted & Muffy and had the older DUO-branded stuff in a sale).
Sat out in my garden on a lovely Sunday afternoon in Spring, enjoying the sunshine.
The dress is by Monsoon and was another Charity Shop bargain at £6. It was missing its belt but I substituted that for some white ribbon I had.
I'm over the moon that this PVC skater dress finally fits me, now that I have lost some weight. Mind you, I do have a corset on under it and it was pretty damn tight. LOL.
Still, I feel really happy with this picture and it makes me feel like the dieting is really worth it.

Maybe this lovely Per Una dress was a little too smart for the monthly Arts, Crafts, Antiques and Collectables fair at The Maltings at Farnham, but I enjoyed wearing it.

I had a great time in early September at the DC Trans Ladies' Community Soiree. They're always great opportunities to meet a diverse group of people and you spend a lot of time in "get to know you" conversations. We also almost always have people that are stepping out of the closet for the first time so it's a very supportive environment and a chance for people to say "Hey, look at me!".
This night was a bit different, given everything the administration was up to particularly in regards to trans military service, and the discussions were rampantly political. People are looking to get involved and make a difference. I personally heard from quite a few people who said that they had thought of me when they heard of the trans ban and several even said they wrote their first ever letters to their representatives. It was touching, and great to feel the energy in the room.
But it was also a chance to go a little fancy, so... "Hey, look at me!"
