This Harbor is on Saltspring Island which is one of Canada’s Gulf Islands, near Vancouver Island. It is known for hiking, kayaking and beachcombing and a vibrant arts-and-crafts scene. We enjoyed our B&B overlooking the harbor, our walks at Ruckle Park and boating on St Mary’s Lake. The image is the harbor in the morning with no wind, a layer of fog and a fine reflection.
I use this photo of Benni over and over because I love it and she's being such a good pup. Happy Halloween everyone!

I’m getting a bit of writers block I can’t think of a narrative to post with the photo. This photo was taken back in November it was a day of great conditions and I still have a number of images I would like to show but I’m struggling for something to say. I feel the empathy of making the photo has long passed the same can be said of the day, now I feel I’m left with images and rapidly faded memories. This is all probably symptomatic of my current feelings, in a bit of winter rut and we all know they is only one cure for a rut, get moving again.

Can you imagine my delight when outside a Bakery shop in Bright, this flash of red came in front of me! My camera was close by and I was in 7th heaven. First time I have seen them in Nature.

While sister motors Nos. 5349, 5354 and 5356 wandered the vast UP system during this time, a weary quartet called Helper home, as 5371, 5377, 5390 and 5401 found steady work on the LJP45 “dirt train” to East Carbon. We started calling this quartet of survivors as the “Gang of Four.” In this view, the westbound local almost looks like a Rio Grande freight of old with that Railbox up front as it slowly cruises along the Bookcliffs approaching Mounds, Utah, on May 24, 2002.

In accordance with this Islamic construction tradition, the Oriental-Islamic Garden of the Gärten der Welt is also secreted behind a four-metre-high wall, separating it from the outside world.
