The Uffizi Gallery Italian: Galleria degli Uffizi, is a prominent art museum located adjacent to the Piazza della Signoria in the Historic Centre of Florence. One of the most important Italian museums and the most visited, it is also one of the largest and best known in the world and holds a collection of priceless works, particularly from the period of the Italian Renaissance.
The Uffizi is one of the first modern museums. The gallery had been open to visitors by request since the sixteenth century, and in 1765 it was officially opened to the public, formally becoming a museum in 1865.

First Friday in San José, California means people roaming from art gallery to art gallery. And a chance for me to get out and capture some photons at night.
My works are hanging at my part of the gallery again.

With art worthy of any museum in the world, the wall of Buckskin Gulch is admired by Moment’s Notice. As with Paria Canyon into which it flows, Buckskin Gulch is composed of Navajo Sandstone, deposited as massive sand dunes 200 million years ago. Water has carved what is considered the longest slot canyon in the Colorado Plateau (and perhaps anywhere), approximately 12 miles/ 19 km long, as narrow as 4 feet/ 1.2 m wide, with walls as high as 500 feet/ 150 m. Wind, water, and gravity have sculpted the canyon walls into beautiful forms and textures, with desert varnish adding some lovely streaks, illuminated here by sunlight reflected from the adjacent wall.
A few of my pieces will be on display at the lovely ShazWren Photo Gallery beginning Saturday, August 13th. I hope you stop by and enjoy the works of the many talented artists on display.

Jacobean plasterwork in the Long Gallery of Blickling Hall. Dates to 1620s. Long galleries were a common feature in houses of that period and were intended for exercise in bad weather.

The Burnaby Art Gallery (abbreviated as BAG) is an art museum in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The museum is located on the northern periphery of Deer Lake Park, situated off of Deer Lake Avenue. The museum occupies Fairacres Mansion, a historic residence designated as a historic site by the provincial government.
The institution was established through a private association in 1967, who used the publicly owned Fairacres Mansion to exhibit its collection. The association continued to manage the museum until 1998, when the municipal government of Burnaby assumed control of the museum's collections, and governance.
The museum's permanent collection holds more than 6,300 artworks. It is the only public art collection in Canada dedicated to works on paper.

The Sculpture Gallery is one of the few buildings that remain standing from the Trentham estate. The main hall was demolished in 1912-3. The developer of Trentham Gardens, St Modwen Properties, has plans to rebuild the Hall as a hotel and conference centre, but the economic recession has put the project on hold.
