This Gala Dining Room is a large room in the Royal Palace of Madrid, Spain, used for formal banquets and state dinners hosted by the Spanish monarchs.
It is furnished with a large mahogany table, chairs, and side tables adorned with gold accents, and can accommodate up to 140 people, making it one of the largest dining rooms in any European royal palace.
The room is illuminated by stunning chandeliers made of crystal and bronze and the walls are adorned with a collection of paintings.

At least at a steam gala people expect to have a camera or eight shoved in their face so its a good place to practise.

So the gala was earlier this month and this is me before heading down to the grand ball room. So many fancy gowns! It was kind of a surreal experience.
