More of a challenge than an organised runpast, and proof I can occasionally get lucky. The 4.30 departure from Sheffield Park just manages to catch the sun on the approach to Horstead Keynes with a train full of Gala weekend punters who seem to be enjoying the three cylinder sound, and the fresh air.

With a tip of the hat to Nodding Pig I'm trying to humanise some of my shots. Its not as easy as it may seem.
People don't keep still whilst your trying to adjust your focus and aperture.
At least at a steam gala people expect to have a camera or eight shoved in their face so its a good place to practise.
My mentor scanned through my shots and told me they were all rubbish bar this one. So....the only non rubbish shot i took of some people at the West Somerset Railways Steam Gala on Sunday.....Ta Da.
So the gala was earlier this month and this is me before heading down to the grand ball room. So many fancy gowns! It was kind of a surreal experience.
