A single exposure.

Thanks for faves and comments.

In April 2018 both Taurus engines kept in the design of Vienna's City Airport Train could be seen outside of their regular domain. So for example on April 08th 2018 when I took this picture of 1016.036 in front of freight train GAG 48401 from Linz to Jesenice near Weng.

Often, silence originates in two form factors. One, out of thoughtful move. And the other out of helplessness.

Rejoinder-- All admins-- Is it not the prerogative of the photographer to know why his post is not worthy of a particular group? Or is it just the way it is.. I am no one to escalate this... but I suppose there would be many of us who are eager to get a critical view on this aspect. I would rather that if any picture needs an improvement that would help the picture maker and the others, Flickr should annexe it to its forum. At least for the Pros who pay.. That would bring in a much better culture to this entire exercise, I suppose.. Respectfully....to all

Silkenvixen, late 1980's, bound and gagged by my now-late best friend

these handkerchiefs are simply lovely - beautiful patterns. I'm quite fond of Blue striped handherchiefs, but the one on the bottom right is lovely :-)

A favorite sight gag of mine that shows no signs of going away from the South Hayward BART station.

The opening credit sequence of the Simpsons usually ends with what has come to be called the "couch gag." Along with Bart's chalkboard phrases, these gags often change from episode to episode, usually involving The Simpsons rushing to the couch to settle in for some quality time with the family's best-loved appliance. The promise of a new couch gag puts loyal viewers in their seats - reclining in the comfort of their own personal groove - so that when the episode begins they won't miss a thing.

A USGS stream gaging station sits along the west side of the Stossel Bridge north of Carnation, Washington. This bridge spans the Snoqualmie River on NE Carnation Farm Road. The center span of the 330’ bridge is a 180-foot riveted steel Warren through-truss. Constructed in 1951, the Stossel Bridge represents one of the first, and one of the few, steel bridges built in the early 1950s in Washington. Because of the Korean War, the National Defense Program permitted only small quantities of critical metals, such as steel, to be used on nonmilitary projects. Shortages of material and skilled steel workers may have influenced the truss style and materials. The use of a polygonal top chord reduced the amount of steel required. Use of standard shapes of rolled steel members, as opposed to a “built-up” riveted steel section used in earlier truss bridges, significantly reduced the amount of labor needed to fabricate the truss. Raymond G. Smith and Cecil C. Arnold engineered the project. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 2002.
