THEME: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - MASQUERADE SCENE.
As something extra, I decided to do a smaller photo-shoot for one of the many ballerinas from the film/book/play. The masks were much more simplistic compared to the trio, however I felt they still created a good composition nevertheless.
THEME: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - MASQUERADE SCENE.
I designed masks for each of the main characters (Erik - The Phantom, Raoul & Christine Daae), based upon their character profiles, described in the original book by Gaston Leroux. I also tried to find models that I thought suited. =)
The Phantom, the main and most famous character. What he is renown for is of course his mask! In the book he is said to have attended the Masquerade dressed as the Red Death. I analysed the story and the mask from the film version and came up with something in between. The mask itself was cast in latex and stuck onto my model's face directly using prosthetics glue.
