During the construction of the Canal de Provence in the 1970s, certain structures were planned to accommodate the bridges allowing the passage of a future motorway which will join the Alps. Thus this construction in waiting remained (from memory) a good twenty years before being able to play its role. This is the case now and there is no longer possible access to this place which is reserved for authorized personnel.

I had ventured down to Paignton beach to capture the sunrise and although I knew the forecast was not going to be great I was hopeful of some nice light pushing through the cloud before it obscured the sky. Well unfortunately the light I was hoping for never came but this led me to capture some moodier shots like this on taken under the pier. The low tide allowed me to get right under the boards and with the thickening cloud was able to come away with this.
Thank you for looking today and I hope you like what you see.
