Paul was the undisputed king of the café corner. Every morning, he flopped onto the sidewalk, mastering the art of looking dramatically exhausted.
Passersby admired his dedication to laziness. Some took photos, others sighed, envious of his carefree existence. A waiter dropped a croissant crumb nearby. Paul considered moving—then decided against it. Too much effort.
With a deep, world-weary sigh, he embraced his destiny: to be the ultimate café philosopher, contemplating life… one nap at a time.
While changing my macro to my wide angle lens in the car, Zaynah peeked throught the tripnet. I couldn't adjust my settings, only had time for just one quick shot with a stroke of luck!!
Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!
A neighbourhood dog thought sitting in the ocean, shallow as it is, would be a cool thing to do, especially with a big piece of kelp, no wooden sticks for this guy!
Hailey is the funniest dalmatian I've ever met. Her masters (My Daughter and Son-in-Law) here on Christmas Day with her all dressed for the occasion. She continuously sits in this chair at the table. Thinks its hers :)
Update on This Sweet Dog: She left us this Fall. Will always be the sweetest and funniest Dalmatian of Our Lives. RIP Hailey, Fall 2020.

In a spectacular cinematic scene blending the legendary world of an ancient Gallic village with the explosive energy of contemporary pop art, a fearless little white dog bursts through the center of the frame in a dramatic moment frozen in time. Captured from a slightly low-angle perspective with a dynamic wide-angle lens, the composition transforms the small canine hero into an iconic larger-than-life figure. His determined eyes burn with courage, his ears fly backward with momentum, and his powerful stride propels him directly toward the viewer while he proudly carries a golden bone like a priceless treasure.
Surrounding him, a bustling Gallic village comes alive beneath brilliant midday sunlight. Traditional thatched cottages line a vibrant cobblestone street, every wooden beam, straw roof, and weathered stone rendered with astonishing photorealistic detail. Colorful shields lean against rustic structures, reflecting flashes of sunlight across the scene. Legendary warriors with expressive faces, imposing mustaches, and richly detailed clothing watch the unfolding spectacle with amusement and surprise, adding life and narrative depth to the environment.
The entire image erupts in a breathtaking storm of paint splashes. Explosive bursts of electric cyan, vivid magenta, radiant yellow, and deep black ink streak across the composition in every direction. Suspended droplets appear frozen by an ultra-fast shutter speed, revealing intricate liquid textures and microscopic details. These vibrant splashes create a stunning visual collision between ancient history and modern street art aesthetics, transforming the village into a living canvas of color and motion.
Above the village, a brilliant blue sky becomes an enormous graphic playground filled with oversized comic-book style action bursts. Bold pop-art visual elements explode across the background, enhancing the feeling of humor, excitement, and adventure. Thick black outlines, vibrant halftone textures, and dynamic graphic effects merge seamlessly with the hyperrealistic environment, creating a unique fusion of classic European comic storytelling and contemporary urban art.
The cinematic composition emphasizes depth, movement, and immersion. The heroic dog remains razor sharp in the foreground, every strand of fur visible in extraordinary detail, while the richly populated village retains remarkable clarity and narrative complexity. Sunlight dances across metallic surfaces, paint splashes shimmer with glossy reflections, and subtle shadows add realism and dimensionality throughout the frame.
The final image evokes the feeling of a blockbuster animated fantasy adventure infused with street-art rebellion and comic-book energy. Ultra-photorealistic textures, explosive colors, cinematic lighting, and meticulous environmental storytelling combine to create a joyful, action-packed masterpiece in breathtaking 16K resolution. In the lower-right corner, delicately integrated into the artwork, appears the signature “Emma L.” in elegant thin golden Gothic lettering.

I know it's not the best photo I've ever taken, but it's as funny as hell the expression on the face of this Great Dane pup. When I first saw it I really had a good laugh, and decided to share it. I hope you all get a good chuckle out of it too !!
Srećkova njuška
Srećko, my loyal friend with a nose that never rests. He explores every corner, from bush to blade of grass, and his ears twitch at every sound – especially the crinkle of a bag! His bark is fierce, but his heart is as soft as a pillow. He fears thunder, cats, and stern looks, yet never misses a chance to snuggle. Over ten years old and still playfully goofy, a friend whose gaze says it all – and who knows how to keep secrets. ❤️
Nose of a Loyal Friend

This photogenic fella is a Lagotto Romagnolo (Italian Water Dog). He had the absolute best time chasing after his favorite tennis ball in the garden. Look at that focus and pure joy!
The Face You Make When Dad Finally Nails a Joke...
For years, I have carried the proud title of Dad Joke Champion, despite overwhelming evidence that nobody in the family actually found my jokes funny. Then along came Laban.
This little Maltipoo has become my most loyal audience. Whether he truly understands my humor or simply appreciates the delivery remains uncertain, but this photograph captures the exact moment I told him: “What do you get when you cross a dog with a calculator? A best friend you can count on.” His reaction speaks for itself.
Captured during a perfectly timed yawn, Laban appears to be laughing so hard he can barely stay upright. Perhaps he was about to say, “Let me paw you a drink,” or maybe he just wanted to remind everyone to stay paws-itive. Either way, father and son finally seem to share the same questionable sense of humor.
As every dog owner eventually discovers, the greatest gift a dog can offer isn't obedience, tricks or even companionship. It's finding someone who thinks you're hilarious when nobody else does.
Fun fact: Dogs don't actually laugh the same way humans do, but researchers have identified a distinctive "play panting" sound that dogs often make during play sessions. Other dogs recognize it as a positive signal, and recordings of it have even been used in animal shelters to help reduce stress and encourage playful behavior.

I know this isn't the most flattering photo, but it just cracks me up every time I come across it. Elf makes me laugh, and that's a good thing. I'm fortunate to have such a loving companion.
So its pretty hot here right now. I put on the sprinkler and Daisy had the best fun in the Sun, she chases the water plumes and droplets, it's hilarious to watch and if your wondering.... yes that's an adult size Space Hopper... and yes, its mine... I bounce around the garden like a big kid at the age of 51, Hubby and Son were boyh lost for words when I bought this the other day and started bouncing about, don't think I've seen them laugh so much and as for Daisy, she likes to chase me on it... its our new fun game. But... ladies if you want one you must invest in a good bra.... that's all I'm gonna say on that....hahahahahaha
So, for my birthday this year hubby bought me a White Baby Grand Piano, I was so surprised and happy, I had to wish my old piano good bye but the sound and beauty of my new piano is amazing, especially with the top open, I have 14 foot high ceilings as our property is 180 years old and it sounds like I'm playing in a theatre. Love to play Jazz and Blues, Rock and Motown, Mozart, Chopin, Brahms and a little bit of AC-DC.
Daisy sits with me as I play but she tries to climb on my lap and it really hard to play with her trying to lick my face, so she sits by my side, maybe I could teach her chopsticks hahaha
Happy Monday

I wanted a post for TTT (Tragic Toe Tuesday) but was fresh out of toe pictures. I broke my little toe yesterday on a lounge chair at the pool and I refuse to be a good sport about it. I'm mad and frustrated.
In the meantime, until I get my toe pic, here's a picture of my least photogenic pet.

Well.
Not really.
Last night we had a little campfire in our woods. She was in my lap admiring the meadow and the forest when....
a scary bloodthirsty pup-eating Doe walked up to our 'camp' and stared at her.
Hannah shook from head to toe.
The doe ran off and Hannah refused to leave the chair.
I guess I don't have to worry right now about her chasing deer. She apparently thinks they are Monsters.

I was down low, flat out in the grass, I wanted the right angle and POV, I had placed the scales on a tree stump, set up my freshly picked carnations, I'd set the scene, all was looking good.....
Then... in comes my little dynamo...
grabs a few carnations and makes a run for it...
thankfully I did have the shot I wanted, which I posted last night, but like always, I do a few extra images at different angles, which I didn't get! as I ended up chasing my mucky muddy Daisy Bear around the garden, I think she just wanted me to chase her and play ball....
not long after this image was taken she got a new puppy style haircut (she was quite overgrown and getting matted) a nail cut and a very big warm bubbly dog bath... and this morning I have the cutest looking Maltese... but not for long, the garden calls her...
Good job I can groom little Daisy, I've always groomed my own doggies, its quite a handy skill in lock down, just need to groom the men of the household now, my Son has now grown a beard and the hair is getting rather floppy too ha ha.
