As we wandered around Queen West, we saw tons of examples of graffiti - of different styles and scope. This example was painted between two storefronts, and is functional in addition to being interesting. It's amazing to wander around that part of the city and see that the building owners actually encourage artists to decorate the walls, rather than keep trying to prevent it.
so cool.. wish it still worked. Plans are to build a condo into the lower part of the tower.. so the clock probably won't ever function again.

This type lacks in functional simplicity. The letters have been oddly arranged. There is a little confusion as to what this sign says the reason of this is because of the irregular shapes filling in the space around and in between the letters such as the gaps between the 'm' etc. This type would be far easier to read if it were just simplified.
A quirky Canadian prairie anomaly, this fully functional lighthouse sits atop Pirot Hill in the small Saskatchewan resort village of Cochin. The 11.5 metre structure overlooks Jackfish Lake and surrounding farmland for as far as the eye can see.
After visiting Canada's east coast and admiring the lighthouses of the Atlantic, Cochin's first mayor returned home with the idea of bringing community together by building a lighthouse on top of the tallest hill in town. Some thought he was crazy, but the structure has gained fame as a prominent landmark in the area and is beloved by locals and visitors alike.
