It was raining all day long, and we were already trying to decide with the girls where to shoot, should we go under some bridge where it's not so wet, or shoot in the rain, hard to decide! It was already getting 5pm, and I was tending to go under one bridge, but suddenly I look through the window, rain stopped! And sun was trying to go out, that was beautiful!

So we took these pictures in a local park at Nada, Kobe, and had to shoot fast, because light was dropping and we were losing it. Anyway we had one of the most beautiful skies I've seen these days!

That's my favorite picture of the set, maybe because of the emotion, and also the composition in it! The girls were throwing the grass, and some police guys were wondering what is going on, but fortunately they didn't say anything!

A candid street portrait of a young beautiful lady who pops soap bubbles in the street, laughs and enjoys the process. May the happiness be with her.

Sometimes I like to jazz-up a pic purely to make it somewhat different to the norm. Roses are always beautiful 'au naturelle' but I liked the impact of the colourful effect on this one.

My go to post processing is usually done with Paintshop Pro , but I used 'Smart Photo Editor' for this pic. They have hundreds of instant artistic effects to choose from, which themselves can be altered/ adjusted to your own taste. They are effects that have been submitted by the site's users. It's great fun and gets the creative juices flowing.

This is what people do for fun in the summer up on the Beartooth Pass. It helps that the elevation is about 11,000 feet and there is snow there all summer long.

Fun begins at the Snoqualmie Pass!

Down at Seaside Heights in the Jersey Shore. The photo is whats currently remaining of the Fun Town Pier after Hurricane Sandy last year. I tried to capture a ghostly image of the aftermath.

I just really liked the way the shadows fell on the floor. I tried it in black and white, but it definitely loses something without the blue door.

I loved this location, so many photographic possibilities. I can't wait to visit Italy again in the future.

Another one for the 365 Treasure Hunt … 5 more to go. This time number 32 "Fun Fair".

Over to Hastings, where there is always a fun fair, only everyone was Christmas shopping and the fun fair was shut … even on a nice sunny day.

I have two fun facts about Dot (my best friend). One is her hair always looks different and two is her eyes change color. Those are superpowers if I've ever seen any before. We are now trying to hone in on how we can use these powers for good by trying to save the world from destroying itself. Hey, don't underestimate cuteness, that force is strong!

I hope they are all having fun. Sometimes you can't tell by the faces. This was on the Superman roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

I love this time of year (when it is not raining that is!). You can see the start of autumn in the trees, but still have little splashes of summer colour scattered around.

🎉 @SeraphimSLFun event!!

…or so NooPea thought before being pranked! At least they know now what a fun even is about 😄

Please send our Peas back home if you see them on the grid, they’ve caused enough troubles around!

Mike and I are starting a new tradition this year: Christmas without the tree.

I'm so relieved. Because every year, the tree has been the source of this huge internal struggle for me.

On one hand... in what I like to think is a nod to my long-ago Druid ancestors... I pretty much worship trees. (You may have noticed this elsewhere in my stream. Ahem. It's a powerful force.) So... to bring one in, and adorn it with lights and ornamentation, and spend many hours admiring it... living with it as a member of the family... well, it feels kind of right.

On the other hand... there is no escaping the fact that the trees we bring inside each year are dead. And worse - we killed them ourselves, with our own hands, and have the sap-stained clothes and gloves to attest to our act of, let's face it, murder.

It's always bugged me, but the final straw was Mike's comment on our watering system. We have this great set-up where... every time the tree takes a drink... we hear this musical glug-glug-gurgle. Our tradition has always been to raise our glasses in response, and drink (or eat, or make the motions thereof) in the tree's direction, and say something like, "Here's to you, tree!"

So... yeah. We've lived with this charade for years. And it was only in the past few weeks that we agreed the glug-glugging was, in fact, sinister. Equivalent, we decided, to the flopping and gasping a fish does out of water.

We have agreed (thank goodness) not to inflict that slow-death suffering on another good, honest tree this year. And I am so relieved.

Yes, I know there's the option of the "living tree," but that has its own problems. Kind of like bringing home a big Tyee salmon and watching it swim in a bowl for a few weeks. Conifers just weren't made to live indoors. Or die indoors. So I'll do my seasonal worshipping outdoors this year - in the trees' own living room, which is as it should be.
