I had to spend some time cleaning up this doll- Christie came (NRFB) with sticky legs (bunch of green spots). Tangled hair like you wouldnt believe. I scrubed the legs down good with (Viny Cleaner). The legs look great except for the green spots.I can now run a brusg or comb all the way through her hair without any snags, thanks to a hot water treatment. I dont usually like hot water treatment- but in this case , didnt have a choice-

We finally got a bit of snow. We've had a few dustings, but until last night we've had no accumulation worth mentioning.
It was only 4" but Harford County decided it was enough to close schools down for the day. As much as Savanah enjoys a free day off of school, after being awake for a few hours she came and let me know how bored she was. Of course, all of the ideas I gave her, like cleaning her room, were met with a frown. I finally offered her the chance to get out of the house and have a bit of fun in the snow. That she seemed to be in to.
Kathy came out after we built our snow dragon and built a little snow girl, which she then accessorized.
I love Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers class. I am learning so much and having fun while doing it! Thank you for another great tutorial!!
This is a photo of my son and one of his best buddies. It is hard to believe that the boys will be moving on to middle school next year and that they will be going to different schools. Thankfully they have an amazing friendship (and so do our families) so we will share many days at the beach together in the years to come.
molly painted her hands so she could trick my mum that it was blood. mum is a little wiser than that of course but did ask if molly was in pain. and then continued to re-pot her seedlings.
Lighting was not very good yesterday for shooting butterfly shots but we had a great time trying. Working today......catch you later. Thanks for stopping by.
This was actually an attempt to do something straight and organized and planned....
Inspired by imagingermonkey, who does a giant project with 2,5 inch squares - when I cut a batch ofsquares for her in april, i wanted some for myself, too.... and started cutting again. Not really sure what for - but well, squares a good! Organized and all! Lots of little squares, all the same size!
Hey, I actually MEASURED them :-)! (If you don't know - I never measure anything.... )
And the bag was getting bigger, and so I dug them all out the other day and laid them out on the floor, and I realized how that did not work for me. Squares are good, yes, but oh, how it kind of bored me to think of them all just suared together.
So - long lines of squares, and long strips of colourful fabric. That made a lot more sense to my eye.
There will be a few more strips on the long side, so it will become a squarer piece - right now it is kind of long and narrow....

Had fun doing a little photoshoot with Angel today in an urbex type enviroment. Turned out better than I thought considering I don't do photoshoots. I know I could probably edit this better if I spent some time on it but It was a fun experience overall!
