It was such a wonderful Sunday we took a drive to New Brighton, April 20, 2014 Christchurch New Zealand.
The naming of New Brighton was apparently done on a 'spur of moment' decision by William Fee, an early settler of the area. When Guise Brittan, the Waste Lands Commissioner, visited the area in December 1860, he was recognised and Fee chalked 'New Brighton' on a wooden plank, supposedly in reference to his fellow settler Stephen Brooker, who had come from New Brighton in England. The Māori name for the area is Kaiuau (kai means food and aua is Yellow-eye mullet) or O-ruapaeroa (an east wind blowing along the shore)
The suburb is divided into three sections spread along the southern coast of Pegasus Bay: North New Brighton; New Brighton; and South New Brighton, which lies at the northern end of a narrow peninsula between the bay and the Avon Heathcote Estuary. A 300 metres (980 ft) pier was built here in the 1990s, and opened on November 1997.
New Brighton was originally a distinct coastal village, separated from the then outer suburbs of Christchurch by the swampy areas adjoining the Avon River. However, urban expansion, land reclamation and drainage have led to Brighton being swallowed by Christchurch city.

102.1 The Edge

fun. did a free acoustic performance at the 102.1 The Edge radio station in Toronto! They performed 'Carry On' and 'We Are Young', and videos of their performances can be found on the station's youtube here!
And yes, my pro account expired. Hopefully I'll have it renewed sometime this week :).
Having fun with grandma. She hated the way she looked so I made a silly face to make her feel better. I guess she has a really cranky roommate who yells at her a lot. The roommate isn't all there and yells at everyone. Grandma doesn't take it personally. :P

E desses todos só a ultima senhora é temperamental e vive uma TPM eterna e já explico pq:o Joy (rosa) é praticamente impossível de fotografar ou eu sou muito sonsa, o Fantasy durou pouco nas unhas e o Fun esse azul ficou mortinho, mortinho nas minhas unhas.Mas tenho de admitir que esmaltes tem uma fórmula ótima, bem gostosinha de passar, cobre super bem com uma camada e não tem frescura pra limpar e nem pra secar.Tem cores bonitas, todas com um Glow? Shimmer? dourado. Tão lindos que pretendo dar novas chances a eles.

We call it the “smile maker”. On this machine you sit in a position that you finally look ahead – not down on the road. You see all the faces behind the windshields, and you see how literally everyone breaks into a wide smile when he/she sees us flying by. There is really nothing to explain, everybody instantly knows: this is pure fun.
No more pains in the butt, wrist, or neck. And as a tandem, cruising along, you leave most “normal” bikes in the dust. On our trip to town, there is a downhill stretch where we sometimes hit 40 mph. But there is the one disadvantage of these ‘recumbents‘ when we come back: they don’t climb very well, you need to develop other muscles.
What's on the shelves-collectible minifigs, a shelf for Lord of the Rings and Hobbit, top shelf for World of Warcraft(shhh, I know it's not Lego-had to have them as a WoW addict though!), Avengers to the right.
I don't think I can recall ever having a rotten time on this bike. So fun to use. Didn't cost much to get it to this point, either. I bought the bell, the water bottle cage, and the tires. Thats it.
