'It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.'

In the area of East Bali the "Salak“ - snake fruit are especially sweet and famous for their quality! Along the small road we can find small shops where women are selling fruits and herbs, also for traditional medicine. The black banner sign above tells, there are herbal products available for heart problems, impotence, and pregnancy disorders.

Cotoneaster frigidus (tree cotoneaster) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Cotoneaster of the family Rosaceae, native to the Himalayas. It is a tree up to 15 metres. The red berries are highly attractive to many birds. The fruits are carried in such huge clusters that they weigh down the branches.

There is a fly on the green one!

Walking in a local neighbourhood, I spied a small spindle bush that was loaded with these tiny fruits that were opening to reveal their bright seeds. This was the first time I've ever seen this plant and I sure found it at the right time of the year. Edited with an impressionism filter (Van Gogh) for Sliders Sunday. HSS!

Thank you for your visits and comments, they're all greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

Platanus orientalis, the Old World sycamore or Oriental plane,is a large, deciduous tree of the Platanaceae family, growing to 30 m or more, and known for its longevity and spreading crown. In Autumn its deep green leaves may change to blood red, amber, and yellow.

The tree is capable of being grown in most temperate latitudes, though it benefits greatly from warm summers. As a very large and wide tree with broad, thick leaves that tend to orient horizontally, it is especially prized for the shade and coolness it provides during the hot season.

It grows best in rich soil in a sunny location and can survive drought well. Although young plants appreciate regular watering.
