Another scenic picture of Iceland submitted by Gian-Reto Tarnutzer and remixed by me.
On the surface the icebergs look so small an insignificant however deep down they are large behemoths of ice mass. I guess we can also look at humanity in this same fashion. Although some people reveal very little, get to know them and their story is deep and moving.
A mixture of snow and ice covers the landscape near Trier. Just before Christmas a very appropriate and atmospheric sight.

It had rained briefly while it was still dark and then the temperature dropped freezing the water droplets covering the plants etc. I was a bit late getting out there but I was just in time to catch the last of the ice before the suns warmth melted it all away.
