I'm always amazed how well the orange of the bridge pops when shot at the blue hour. I have not touched the saturation slider here, only opened the shadows and added tonal contrast to the skyline.

This is probably my favorite comp of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Several images stitched together in PTGui.

CSX G766-14 rumbles out of Click Tunnel and into Frisco as it prepares for a meet with C402 at Kermit.

Before it became a Superfund site, Times Beach, MO was a small community along the Meramec River. In October 1979 a westbound intermodal train crossed the river.

A recreated Frisco mail train is ready to depart the East Union depot, led by the SLSF 1630. Before the train can leave, the two conductors must show the young lady the route timetable and board her and the sailor.

Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge trying not to freak out because of height but wanted some pics.

Frisco high hood U25B 806 sits at Hornell, NY at dusk on April 23, 1978. We had gone up to Alfred to await the Westbound that was led by CR 6686, and we waited a long time. When it finally showed up it was without the 806. We went back to Hornell and found that 806 had been left there.

For the first time since acquiring them late last year, Arkansas & Missouri dispatched both former Tacoma Rail SD70ACe-P4s solo on a train.

The Frisco-ish paint scheme used by Tacoma Rail in Washington state looks great on former Frisco trackage near Gateway, Arkansas.

Been a while since I posted anything older and pretty sure there's nothing Frisco I've ever posted. Main reason being there isn't very much. Only saw the Frisco in person twice and this was on a move from Baytown, Tx back to Ohio in May 1980. I spent a few hours around Tulsa. Here's a couple of SD45's that I think are approaching Cherokee Yd passing the Frontier refinery. May 22, 1980.

Awaiting sunrise.

I took this at the North End of the Golden Gate Bridge,Coming back from Los Angelos. As for the backround ,i put clouds in and lowered the opacity to 25.

Shot from Frisco along Dillon Reservoir. This is Peak 2 or 3 of the Ten Peaks in Ten miles which stretch from Frisco to just south of Breckenridge. The sun was coming up and creating this incredible orange glow. The rest of the day the sun stayed behind the clouds..

The ruined Frisco (Cape Hatteras) pier.

What an amazimg sight - this pier still standing against all the elements.

The pier, built in the 1962, closed in 2008 due to major structural damage caused during several bad storm seasons. It now stands only in sections. In 2013 the National Parks Service announced they would demolish the pier, but thus far it still remains standing.

If you'd like, feel free to take a look at my other images from the Outer Banks or you can see a pic of the pier at night
