For a change of pace, let's pause to breathe, and shoot a freethrow. Boston, a cool town that would honor a cool guy like "Bill". One thing about this pic that fascinates me: Both statue figures are looking up at an imaginary basket, and the guy with the backpack is looking at the same thing.
Bruce is kind of excited about the snow we've been having in Dallas. Just a little.

Probably the hardest free throw line to shoot from in college basketball. Cameron can look small, roughly holding just over 9,000, but is one of the loudest places to play college ball. This was taken during my first but not last trip to Cameron and I thought it was cool they let fans come in and check it out. I also visit the newly built Duke Basketball Museum and took some wide angle shots of Cameron from the 2nd level.
Finally decided which print to make an enlargement from my trip to Duke in December. Spent a couple hours in Lightroom getting the white balance correct and altering the exposure to bring the tier seating in the back into the picture more. Also edited some wandering people out of the frame as best I could in CS4.

Belanah's last game in 7th grade. This is the chant they would do when the other team had a free throw. If it was a two point free throw then they also did RE-REB-REBOUND REBOUND!!!! I thought they looked good..I almost got all of them in the shot, anyway, Belanah is the 2nd to last girl on the right. Right now it's swim season, and although she's not enthusiastic about swimming races, she really wants to dive. She figures it's not too much different than gymnastics. That and even though I can't dive anymore (crutches take the fun out of that), I can give her some pointers. Maybe she'll like it, if not, it'll give me a break until track =))

Film scans from an early photography class pep assembly assignment.
One thing I learned quick (and painfully) was to pay attention to the ASA of the film loaded into the camera when doing indoor events. I am sure I just had a roll of 100ASA already loaded and went with it expecting brilliant shots. Using all my newly learned lessons of shutter speed and f/stop, but forgetting all about the film I had loaded.
