Glasgow band, Freelance Liars. Their debut EP, Good & Gone, has just been released on iTunes.
The boring photo details: it's a bokeh panorama stitched from 37 shots taken wide open on the Nikkor 85mm F1.8. Before cropping, the stitched file was 409 MP with an effective focal length of 25mm and an effective aperture of 0.53.
A bit of a change from the usual landscapes but, after some extensive PP (which pushed my PC memory a little beyond what it's accustomed to dealing with), I'm reasonably pleased with the results.

Aquest matí ens hem traslladat a Xèrica per visitar la seva Fira Medieval. El paisatge era desolador a causa de l'incendi que es va declarar el cap de setmana a Cortes de Pallars i Andilla i que ha arrasat fins ara 45.000 hectàrees i segueix actiu. El cel estava negre en molts punts i amb matisos marrons foscos en altres. Quan hem arribat a Xèrica, el foc estava ben a prop i un dens fum cobria el cel del poble.
Han acusat a dos treballadores de plaques solars, com a causants principals del desastre, però la Generalitat Valenciana, també té molt a veure en la propagació del foc, ja que fa uns mesos va aprovar una retallada important en mesures anti incendis i també des de fa anys , no es disposa de brigades que s'encarreguin de la neteja de la muntanya per falta de pressupost.
És una llàstima que no hi hagi diners per a coses tan importants i no obstant això si l'hagi per a les Formulas 1, visites del Papa, etc, etc, etc.

Esta mañana nos hemos trasladado a Xèrica para visitar su Feria Medieval. El paisaje era desolador debido al incendio que se declaró el fin de semana en Cortes de Pallás y Andilla y que ha arrasado hasta ahora 45.000 hectáreas y sigue activo. El cielo estaba negro en muchos puntos y con matices marrones oscuros en otros. Cuando hemos llegado a Xèrica, el fuego estaba bien cerca y un denso humo cubría el cielo del pueblo.
Han acusado a dos trabadores de placas solares, como causantes principales del desastre, pero la Generalitat Valenciana, también tiene mucho que ver en la propagación del fuego, debido a que hace unos meses aprobó un recorte importante en medidas anti incendios y también desde hace años, no se dispone de brigadas que se encarguen de la limpieza del monte por falta de presupuesto.
Es una lástima que no haya dinero para cosas tan importantes y sin embargo si lo haya para las Formulas 1, visitas del Papa, etc, etc, etc.

This is a domestic cat that probably belongs to someone in my neighborhood, but it spends most of its time freelancing. It has decided it owns my house, and it makes itself comfortable in my backyard.
