I know the title has intrigued you. Well here is the story of the gin.
While at the Ottawa Airport waiting while Mr. Cool was checking in the baggage (litterally) ... a lady comes up to GP and I....here is the conversation...
Lady "Are you boarding or dropping off"
Me "We are dropping them off for a flight"
Lady "Oh you look like a fun couple"
At this point GP and I give each other a sidewards look wondering okay...what does this nutter want look
Lady "No, sorry I mean would you like a bottle because Air Canada is just mean and they will dump it out"
Again, GP and I glance at each other....uh huh sure sure
Lady "Well here is the thing" (as she now starts to open her suitcase on the floor and dig around for something) "I just arrived and went to the duty free, I am getting a connecting flight...but someone told me I should come up here so I did, now I have to go through the boarding process again and they will take my bottle and dump it out cause Air Canada is mean" "Wait these are my husband's cigarrettes you can't have those" (good thing, we don't smoke) ... (she has now found it and starts showing it to us) "See, the seal is not broken, it is a perfectly good bottle brand new, I just don't want to see it dumped!"
As she heads off she turns back and says "you two look like you would be a fun couple to know"...
So, GP and I thank her for her kind gift and before we could get her name or anything she was heading down to the boarding gates to get her connecting flight.
Thank heavens I had my camera bag so we could put our "gift from a complete stranger" in it while we waited at the airport.
So, whoever you are, whereever you are....GP and I thank you :-) And we will give you a toast when we crack it open :-)

Subway: Take the L train to Lorimer St.
Some great people in Whitsett, PA keep this cooler full of free water bottles for thirsty bikers and hikers on the Great Allegheny Passage. This is a nice gesture as there is no public place in the small patch town to get drinks. Update: Sadly the free water and also the picnic table are no longer available here because of some mischievous bad actors.

New owner Paul Dean took over the Brunswick Pub two months ago and is determined to change it from a heavy metal venue to a wider ranging music venue with food.
To give the plan a boost he has invited street artist Trix to spray the entire outside of the pub as part of the Gloucester Paint Jam Festival.
Trix said he wanted to create a magical other world in his design which incorporates mushrooms and landscapes.

Lured by the world's best press release chock full o' double entendre, we checked out the Jennette bras opening party on Melrose. "where the alphabet starts at D" is their slogan and cheerily painted on the front door. I'm pretty much too small to buy anything here but the promise of free drinks and "ample sized babes" modeling store inventory got us out of the house and into the peanut gallery. i'll post alink to the writeup when it's live.

Happy Aloha Thursday everyone! Okay, so it's actually Friday now (by about 1 hour), but I DID TAKE the picture on Thursday. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and mine were good in getting this posted on time. My family had other ideas. Mommy may I, Mommy can I, Mommy...Mommy....Mommy.....MOMMY. Geesh.
Anywho, whilst we were on the big island, we went to a Luau aka, drunk fest. They give you a BAC and 5 free drinks. They offer some food....poi, which is just snail snot as far as I'm concerned and pig which has roasted in the sand all day (aka we put it out to defrost yesterday). Bad food or not, the drinks were good, and I hear tell that I sang this song, on stage, though I don't recall and admit to nothing!:O)
Just hang loose, just have fun,

Don't try to fight it, it ain't no use
Cause when you're in Hawaii, you should just hang loose!
