View of downtown Manhattan, including the Freedom Tower in the distance. Photo taken about 45 minutes after sunset on a clear night in the Brooklyn Bridge Park near Pier 2. A rock embankment is in the foreground, which lower down leads to a boat ramp. Old pier pilings are in the middle ground. The photo is actually a combination of two. The water area with reflections and pilings is overexposed by one stop.

Note: At the time, my late husband worked in Wall St., who witnessed it's happening from his office window, not directly, but, he saw tons of office papers flying around....When he got home that day, his suits was covered all over by the ashes. It's a tragic day in the US history.

This is a photo of the New York City Downtown skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. The photo was taken about half an hour after sunset from Brooklyn Bridge Park. The photo is a combination of two separate wide angle photos. Many families and couples were enjoying this beautiful, warm summer evening.

The Governors Island rarely stay open pass 5:00PM. Last Friday was a rare opportunity. I was manage to stay late with a dear friend. The sun was setting, very close to the horizon, the west side of the sky over New Jersey was still in the golden color, However, the east part of the sky over the Manhattan, New York City already turned blue. The clouds was crazy! I was lucky to record this moment!

I captured this image of three historical New York City bridges from One World Observatory, which is located on floors 100-102 of One World Trade Center. From left to right, the Williamsburg Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, and the Brooklyn Bridge each spans the East River; linking Manhattan and Brooklyn.
The blue hour over lower Manhattan was particularly dramatic earlier this evening. The scene with the clouds and the spot of light right behind the Freedom Tower was just captivating! This was the view from the Paulus Hook Ferry terminal by the Jersey City waterfront. Photo taken with my Nikon D7500 DSLR camera, handheld.
The bitterly cold wind of the winter evening seemed to clear the air along the New York skyline. I kinda wished for a cloud...
