Les Grecs utilisaient le fruit pour traiter la goutte, et la queue de cerise fut consommée dès le moyen -Âge pour faciliter le transit urinaire. En France, il a été introduit au XI è siècle notamment pour son bois , reconnu pour sa grande qualité. On l'utilise aussi en cosmétique pour les bienfaits de la peau.

The Monarch travels hundreds of miles in it's life cycle journey. This one seems to be at the end of the cycle because of wear on his wings and body.
