Looking very alert and happy after her walk today [ Monday 16th January 2023 ] on Talsarnau.
Talsarnau or Talsamau is a village and community in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. Its population was 525 in 2001, and had increased to 550 at the 2011 Census. The village of Talsarnau is situated on the A496 coastal road between Maentwrog and Harlech, close to the hamlets of Eisingrug and Llandecwyn.
This was her most favourite place to be on Black Rock Sands beach running free and padding and swimming in the sea.
I took her there with her sister Cali every day.
The excitement in her eyes when the car approached the beach was beyond words.
Miss you so much Mili.
The love I had off you was so special 💔
Cali with her new treat of a Bone...
She took to hiding under the Dining Room
table for over 1 hour, happy and content.
Followed by the longest drink of water 💧 [ funny and lovely too ]

Cali on the beach having a wander near the sand dunes.
Lots for a dog to do !!!
Morfa Bychan, known locally as Black Rock Sands, is a sandy beach, with rocky areas- although the rocks aren’t actually black. The beach stretches for about 2 miles and is backed by a dune system which has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. There are plenty of rockpools to explore here as well as some interesting caverns.
A river mouth lies at the south-eastern end of the beach, and the village of Morfa Bychan is a few hundred meters away. The beach has lovely views of the mountains and countryside of Snowdonia National Park.
A slipway provides vehicular access to the sands and most visitors park on the beach, making it a popular picnic destination and providing easy access for those with mobility problems. There are designated bathing and boat launching areas. Dogs are banned from the central section of the beach, but are allowed on the eastern and western sections.
There are a number of holiday parks in the area surrounding the beach. In the village of Morfa Bychan there are shops, places to eat and a golf club. There are more facilities in the town of Porthmadog, about 2 miles from the beach.
As a last thought in 2025 from our hearts.
This is to remember our beautiful White Shepherd lady - "Cali" - who passed away in our arms in June, with a River of tears.....
this year, unexpectedly
After problems diagnosed.
She was a beautiful loving lady, like her sister
Mili who we sadly lost in 2022.
Life without them is empty but their memories live on.
Cali is at the top of the photo and Mili the bottom
Enjoying being on Black Rock Sands playing together.
We miss both of you very very much.
Also how lovely with Hef's cat " Rosie" and gentle you both were with her.....
Who also sadly passed away after Cali.
I rescued Cali from South Wales, from a bad home, after a 9 hr return journey, she came home, to Mili and they were totally matched, and played together until Mili passed in 2022.
RIP 💔
THANK YOU
To everyone who fav'd this treasured photograph and all the beautiful kind words 💕
I don't think I'll ever get over losing these beautiful dogs who were my life xx
Ohh and for Hef - from my heart, thank you for loving Cali and all the hours you spent with her, as I nursed Mili and fed her 💖
RIP Rosie, a beautiful little soul
I don't have a four-legged friend, nor do I want one though maybe I would if I lived on my own. So for this theme I photographed a lady I often see around the Common with her poodles. I'm sure there used to be seven but here there are five: two white, two black and one brown. It must be a nightmare stopping the leads getting in a knot, not a walk I would enjoy but she adores them.

Clad in a tuxedo she never takes off, this cat carried herself with the calm authority of someone born elegant. A true street resident, she roamed freely, cared for by the neighbors. For us, she wasn’t just a stray—her gentle purrs made each evening feel like a quiet little ceremony.

[ I wil just make myself comfortable on this leather chair ] !!!!!
No-one is watching me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remembering Mili today.
Three years ago at 12, our White German Shepherd passed away in our arms.
Fom a 9 week puppy, she gave unconditional love every day of her little life.
Really sadly missed, by her sister Cali and us 💔💔💔🐾
This is Moana, enjoying the most peaceful nap you could imagine. The afternoon sun streamed perfectly across the room, the silence was absolute, and everything felt just right… until I showed up with my camera and brought her deeply important feline meditation to an abrupt end.
Waiting for her Sister Cali to catch up and play ball !!!!!!!!!!
Taken on Black Rock Sands Beach, Morfa Bychan, Gwynedd, North Wales.
This is my friends Bengal cat! Her markings and eyes are so beautiful! She has black dots on her tummy so looks like a mini leopard. I have never owned a cat before because I’m allergic, but if I could this would be the one for me! 😉
Beautiful dog seen on Animal Rescue in Australia.
She went to a new loving home.
The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working sled dog breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings, and is smaller than the similar-looking Alaskan Malamute.
Cali with us on the Estuary walk in Talsarnau.
There is a dusting of snow on this chilly Winter's afternoon.
The water pools at the estuary were frozen and the puddles too on the
rugged track.
The sheep graze here, weather and tide permitting but are moved to higher ground in inclement weather conditions by the farmers, for safety and to be warmer.
Cali on Llandanwg beach in the water just enjoying being free off her lead and no-one else around !!!
Walking with Mili one of my White German Shepherds in Conwy on an afternoon.

Cali, falling asleep after a walk today. Not a nice day weather wise with
Rain, time to be by the
Fire !!! 🔥
[ A few days ago we were having sunshine ]
here in North Wales
Cali having a dip in the sea as we were walking along the sand.
Llandanwg Beach sits between the towns of Barmouth and Harlech on the southern side of Tremadog Bay. It is also part of the wider Snowdonia National Park and situated close to the pretty Afon Dwyryd estuary.
The sand dunes to the back of the beach conceal the tiny church of Saint Tanwg which dates from the 13th century. A small path winds through the dunes and leads you to the beach from the central car park area or you can take a trail from Cardigan Bay. As you sit on the pristine sands you will also be able to enjoy vistas of the rugged Rhinog Mountains in the distance.
The beach here shelves gently into the sea making this a good place to swim, although there is no lifeguard so care should be taken. When the tide is low, it reveals a causeway out to pretty Mochras which is also known by its local nickname of Shell Island due to the plethora of different hued shells found on the its beach.
Due to its strategic position, Llandanwg Beach is shielded from the well known Welsh winds which can be a little fresh at times meaning that you can enjoy this area even in the off-season. The beach is also well-loved by locals including fisherman who come here for the plentiful supplies of bass, mackerel, flatfish, and dogfish. With that in mind keen anglers will find plenty to do here, or you can explore dainty rock pools or simply go for a stroll on the soft, pristine sand.
Amenities at Traeth Llandanwg include disabled access and the village is also home to the quaint Y Maes Cafe close to the beach which operates from June to October.
At the Talsarnau station now and Cali looking out for the next train!!!!
Beautiful skies this evening, on a lovely walk.
Portrait of Cali January 2024.
Sitting next to me watching what's going on!!!!
She's never far away.
She's either stuck close to me or Hef all the time.
I think she still misses her sister Mili, as do I
very very much 💔
