The Golden Gate Bridge stretches from the San Francisco Peninsula to the Marin Headlands at the entrance to San Francisco Bay.
I do not recall seeing Guillemots with a red bill before. I have checked my bird books and online and have not found a reference or photo of a Guillemot with the red bill. Would love a explanation.

A beautiful sky & wonderful splash action at Fort Point! There was a little big of rain on that day in November. So happy that there has been so much more rain this past month. Going to head out today and enjoy the bit of sunlight I see out there before the next round of rain begins.

I've taken dozens of photos of this most photogenic bridge in San Francisco, CA, but this is the first time I've had the opportunity to photograph the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of Fort Point, on a windy afternoon about 15 minutes before they were going to close for the day.

Fort Point is a masonry seacoast fortification located on the southern side of the Golden Gate at the entrance to San Francisco Bay. It is also the geographic name of the promontory upon which the fort and the southern approach of the Golden Gate Bridge were constructed.
The fort was completed just before the American Civil War by the United States Army, to defend San Francisco Bay against hostile warships. The fort is now protected as Fort Point National Historic Site, a United States National Historic Site administered by the National Park Service as a unit of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
This is actually the third bout of aggression between two Pigeon Guillemots. I first noticed what I felt to be a female Guillemot that seemed to be receptive. The head was first held high and then the head was close to the water with butt raised. This Guillemot was with two other Guillemots. These two faced each other while swimming and then the aggression began.

If you have been following my posts you should know that this Guillemot is a different one than lost the chick to the Hawk. The site has four active nest holes.

Taken on my first evening in San Francisco on my "Birthdaycation" in April-May. I arrived at Fort Point about 15 minutes before it closed. I didn't even know you could go inside the fort! The docent told me that I'd get some great shots of the bridge.
This was taken before I even started climbing the stairs. It's a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge taken through one of the embrasures where guns would be positioned.
