With its warm year-round climate, every day is a summer day at Maracas Beach on the Caribbean island of Trinidad – where these mannequins dressed in various bikinis are displayed for sale outside a beach vendor’s stall. Trinidad & Tobago
Passed this over flowing dam on the way back to town from my farm and couldn't resist snapping a few pics of me splashing aaround in it...I never did grow out of jumping in puddles! Plus overflowing dams are so rare these days as It never seems to rain! The dress is from one of my favourite Australian labels called 'Forever Summer'

Lawson's fattoush was paired with a za'atar chicken recipe, so I added some of that spice mix and sumac to the vinaigrette.
From Forever Summer
A simple dish - cook the beet root and slice it up. Cut one red onion and steep it in red wine vinegar, let steep for at least 15-20 minutes. Add to the beet root, drizzle over with olive oil, salt.

While cleaning up photo files, I ran across this image. It quickly took me back to the end of May this year. Out-of-town guests (met through Flickr) and a couple local friends were with us in Madison to attend our wedding reception. We stopped at the rooftop garden cafe at Monona Terrace for a cold beverage and a brief rest following a sizzlin' hot summer's day photo shoot along State Street. These baby blue umbrellas filled the view complementing a beautiful blue sky over Lake Monona.
Today I'm sitting in our apartment in The Netherlands on this snowy winter day reflecting back on how happy I was that we all could be together for that special weekend. It's forever summer in my heart.
