The second I saw this barn I knew I wanted to photograph it.
The problem was lighting. I came back to it several times over the course of a week and this was the best I found. I loved the cloud cover and knew I'd eventually get a break of sunlight over the barn but it just never happened before I had to move on.
I'm happy with how it came out but I'll be back to perfect it. We'll have to wait until December for that though.

During the night the night raven can be heard calling out with its "caw, caw." This bird is much larger than an ordinary raven, even as large as an old hen.
It is also called the eternal teamster. They say that for his portion of the Kingdom of Heaven he desired to be underway forever and ever. Thus he will be driving for all eternity, seated on the middle horse of Heaven's Wagon. The four large stars to the rear are the great wheels. The three stars in front, standing in a crooked line, are three horses. The small star above the middle one of these is the eternal teamster. He steers the horses, and because the wagon always goes in a circle, they are not in a straight line, but in a crooked one, for they are always making a turn.
Before midnight, it is said, he drives outward, and the wagon-tongue bends upward; after midnight he drives homeward, and it bends downward.
This image was taken from our terrace (for those who look at my stream this is a very common angle). The sky towards west was beautiful this evening. . . . I just hope I've been able to capture its beauty, and improved as compared to any previous shots of this bnature. Again, this image has been cropped and only the contrast has been adjusted.

It's a beautiful shot but she was NOT happy with me because the wind was stinging her eyes. That wind gave me the look in her eyes I was wanting, so it turned out okay and she got over it! ;)
Base of old Kingsbury Grade (former State Route 19) on Foothill Road in Carson Valley. This was the route of the Pony Express in 1860 and 1861, and was used until abandoned by the State in 1968. Top view in 1971 about three years after it was abandoned, and lower view in 2016, 45 years later - rain clouds obscure a part of the Carson Range in background - visible in the 1971 image. Adjacent landowners have gated the road and posted signs to keep the public out - although some sources indicate the road has a public easement. Photo taken in May 2016.

E-waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their “useful life.” Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled.
With the passage of the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 , certain portions of the electronic waste stream are defined and the systems to recover and recycle them will be administratively regulated beyond the universal waste rules that apply to material handling. Please review CalRecycle’s efforts to implement the Act for more information.

Shot last sunday. The day when I woke up early morning only to find some items from my car stolen including my tripod. The silver lining(golden actually ;)) was the fantastic sunrise. Here is one pic shot from the Alviso Adobe park, Pleasanton
