Time (Le Temps qui passe)

Time

I saw the time passing

In the four winds

On hundreds of nuances of color

Through how many dawns or crepuscules ?

I saw the time going by

Indifferent to human affairs

Insensitive to their beginnings and their ends,

Deaf to the cries, the tears, the hopes.

But the impression I was left with, painted of a hundred shades of color :

The beauty carried through is always recreated

Indifferent to the Time that goes by

Sensitive to the harmonies of the world that is made, and re-made constantly.

I am shooting my first wedding tomorrow and I think I'm ready...no stress at all:)

So I will be off Flickr for awhile as, after the wedding, I will be spending all my time processing the images, which I figure will take 5 or 6 days. Then, the following week, we are going on a road trip through Eastern Washington, so won't be around then either. If I have any time in between, I'll do my best to post and comment. Will miss you and see you in a few weeks!

Breathe, breathe in the air,

Cherish this moment,

Cherish this breath

Tomorrow is a new day for everyone,

Brand new moon, brand new sun

When you feel life coming down on you,

Like a heavy weight

When you feel this crazy society,

Adding to the strain

Take a stroll to the nearest waters

And remember your place

Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before you came

So which way is the wind blowin',

And what does your heart say?

Across the Universe

When I was young, I loved watching the stars

Through a telescope;

People thought I was here,

But often I was up there.

There, is also in each of us,

There are up there unexplored worlds that we ignore,

Consenting prisoners of our daily reality.

Crossing the universe, the one that lives inside me,

I never failed to find the light

To love passionately

The colors of this little world,

The useless things,

The remote roads,

The children that laugh,

The mood of your eyes.

I am still up there, dancing with the stars

More than ever

But, I don't need a telescope anymore

And people are not looking for me anymore.

Crossing the universe, I discovered. . .

The dreamer who was looking through the telescope

Sunflowers follow poppies. As I could see this morning, these have also completely faded in the meantime. Here they are still in their full splendor and glory.

"A generation which ignores history has no past and no future. » (Robert Heinlein)

A BRIEF LIFE STORY

I walked towards

Old fishermen's huts

Forgotten by time

Abandoned against each other

On a fragile sandbank

Facing the winds of all horizons

Dreams of the past

Now neglected

Without light

Without vibration

Simple curiosity

Available for travellers from all horizons

I painted an orange sky

To restore -

The time of a pictorial poetry -

A warm shine

To those stories of life married to the sea forever.

The gulls will tell them

Beyond all horizons.

“All horizons dream” (Josephine Bacon, Innu poet)

To Irina, my friend

IN FRONT OF THE SEA

It was a quiet day

In front of the sea,

Facing our origins

Whose she keeps the secrets.

I followed the shore

Face whipped by a wind loaded with salty mist;

Familiar smells for so many generations

Who recognized, in the rhythmic voice of the waves breaking on the shore, primordial sounds.

It was a quiet day;

On the edge of dunes protected by their weeds

Modest homes,

Often occupied by artists

Each seeking to find in the deepest of oneself, this dust of life

which would become poems, novels, paintings, photos or music

Like so many harmonies of their inner voices

Inspired by the magic of this place.

I remember…

It was a quiet day

In front of the sea

June 2021 I will participate in Alpe d'HuZes. I will try to climb the Alpe d'Huez 6 times by bike. This is to get as much money and attention as possible for more research into cancer.

Especially for this I made a birthday calendar with my photography. This is one of those photos, which I have specially processed in color for this. Curious about my calendar or would you like to donate? Click here if you want to read more!

Thanks for your visit and comments! Would you like to use my photo on the web or print? Just ask :-)

Greetings, Robbie Veldwijk
