When dreams come true, it might be the case you find yourself in one of the most epic sceneries the Alps have to offer. We felt like being in an unreal world when all the stars aligned and we got the famous Matterhorn being reflected on the mirror-plane lake. Not enough of that, the color texture of the cone-shaped granite rock mimicked the peak's early morning glow in a symmetry and equilibrium, you almost can't believe. This has been witnessed by a group of very nice fellows from Australia, Canada, Israel and Italy. Thanks to @torygrimaldi, @vladimir.kogan and @dw_photo_ca for the nice company!

Le pont de France est le dernier pont enjambant la Sambre à Namur avant qu'elle se jette dans la Meuse. D'une portée de 50 mètres, c'est un pont du type à arc à tablier avec des garde-corps en calcaire et fer forgé de style Art déco
Il a été construit entre 1929 et 1933 par les Ateliers de construction de Hal. Il fut démoli en 1940 et reconstruit en 1948-1949 par les Ateliers de construction Jambes-Namur avec les éléments originels du pont récupérés dans la Sambre.

The Pont de France is the last bridge spanning the Sambre in Namur before it flows into the Meuse. With a span of 50 meters, it is a bridge of the deck arch type with railings in limestone and wrought iron in the Art Deco style.
It was built between 1929 and 1933 by the Ateliers de construction de Hal. It was demolished in 1940 and rebuilt in 1948-1949 by the Jambes-Namur construction workshops with the original elements of the bridge recovered from the Sambre.

La chapelle du Try-au-Chêne également appelée chapelle de Notre-Dame de Hault, est une chapelle rurale située à Bousval, village dépendant de la ville belge de Genappe, en Brabant wallon.
La chapelle fut érigée en 1608 par le capitaine Thierry Le Jeune, seigneur de la Baillerie et officier brabançon de l'archiduc Albert, afin de remercier la Vierge de l'avoir protégé de la mort durant la Guerre de Quatre-Vingts Ans provoquée par la révolte des Pays-Bas septentrionaux (Provinces-Unies) contre le royaume d'Espagne.

The Try-au-Chêne chapel, also called the Notre-Dame de Hault chapel, is a rural chapel located in Bousval, a village dependent on the Belgian town of Genappe, in Walloon Brabant.
The chapel was erected in 1608 by Captain Thierry Le Jeune, Lord of La Baillerie and Brabant officer of the Archduke Albert, in order to thank the Virgin for having protected him from death during the Eighty Years' War caused by the revolt of the Northern Netherlands (United Provinces) against the Kingdom of Spain.

No better way to start the 2019 series of the Swiss Alps with the remarkable Jungfrau, a 4158 m high peak between the regions Bern and Wallis. The photograph shows the northwestern slope in absolutely juicy morning light with its two beautiful glaciers: Kühlauenen (left) and Giesen (center). The photograph was taken (believe it or not) right from the balcony of our guesthouse in Interlaken. Thanks to our very nice host Jen at the Adventure Guest House Interlaken!

The last autumn leaves with their characteristic yellows, reds, browns, maroons, purples, blacks, whites, dark greens, light greens, rose through the air to the rhythm of a Chopin symphony.
I was eight or nine years old, when I was first inside the Rhone glacier. Twenty five years later I had another chance to explore the narrow corridors there. Nevertheless, they were not exactly the same. Due to the ongoing glacial recession, the responsible have to build new corridors, year by year.

As promised, the return to the Swiss Alps did not take long. On this trip in the middle of July I came with two friends of mine. We would stay four days in this extraordinarily beautiful area, hike a few kilometres, cover some metres of altitude and spend the nights in our tents.

Those big glaciers are much impressive and true giants of the Alps. Like a living organism they wind themselves, finding their way down to the valley. The Gorner glacier is almost 13 km long and covers an area of more than 50 km² [1]. The picture was taken from Schwarzsee (2583 m) above Zermatt.

How sunset at -30-°C looks like. I finally had the chance to visit Riisitunturi National Park and such a gorgeous place it is. The frozen trees make it look like walking on another planet. But remember to dress warmly! 😅

La darrera de les fotos de les Azores que posaré aquests dies ja no és un spot típic, però sí una cosa molt vista i habitual de l’illa, els boscos i el verd. De camí cap al Lagoa do Congro passes per aquest camí que en veure’l em va captivar i no vaig poder passar l’oportunitat de fer la foto. La vegetació d’allà és diferent de la que estic acostumat, i em cridava l’atenció, aquests arbres -que no sé que són- els trobo molt macos i es veuen per tota l’illa.

Terhills est situé sur l'ancien site minier d'Eisden et en bordure du seul Parc National de Belgique . Par son passé de site industriel minier et gravier l'environnement se caractérise aujourd'hui par une faune et une flore luxuriantes, d'immenses cours d'eau et une vue uniques depuis les terrils. Il rappel l'histoire minière du Limbourg.
Pour relier les différentes attractions, une route relie en boucle, les 4,2 kilomètres ainsi tous les visiteurs circulent en toute fluidité sur l'ensemble du domaine grâce à une navette électrique et trottinettes

From its past as a mining and gravel industrial site, the environment is now characterized by lush flora and fauna, immense waterways and a unique view from the slag heaps. It recalls the mining history of Limburg.
To connect the various attractions, a road connects in a loop, the 4.2 kilometers thus all the visitors circulate in all fluidity on the whole of the field thanks to an electric shuttle and scooters
