Well, It's finished. I had been wanting to refold this model for a long time, but it was only until this summer that I finally pulled through. This model is hard, no doubts about that. Even the scaleshaping requires a lot of patience and skill to do nicely, and the final shaping is the part that makes or breaks a Ryu Jin. Even though I haven't shaped it perfectly, I think I've done a decent job.
I decided not to go with the half-cp method, mainly because I always enjoy challenges (not to say this model isn't already challenging enough :P). Once the legs were collapsed, it wasn't too difficult to work with though. Speaking of the legs, they were definitely the biggest challenge for me to shape (after the head). There's still lots to work on, but I think I'm going to leave it like this.
And that's it! I don't think I'll be folding this model again for a while. Comments are always appreciated.

This is the fabric folding method I used in my re-do (BTW, not quite yet a re-DONE… but I’m getting there!). Anyhoo… I’m not sure if this is the exact way …

The #MacroMondays theme is wrinkled, crinkled, folded and these bandanas must be adverse to holding a crease, so I rolled it!!
I think I should get bonus points bc the littlest kitty was trying to chew on the cord whilst I was recharging my phone and trying to take a size verification picture!!

I got the idea to make something by folding paper today. I did some searching and followed these instructions to make this paper sculpture.
Folded this to study 3D folding. This is an easy model to fold. The top consists of 4 parts (3 cubes, one cube, 3 cubes and one cube) that are not joined. There should be a way to fold the top as one.

My new design. I used single tissue paper treated with cellulose glue (64 x 64 cm). Grid is 64 x 64. The model is based on the character from the 'No Game No Life'-series.
I'd like to refold it with a better paper; this one was a bit too thin, making the model a bit flimsy in some areas. Apart from that, I think it turned out okay.
Baobao rushed to the door when I came back and did the customary "walking-between-my-legs" and "curling-the-tail-on-my-leg" ritual. After that, he went about with his usual habits like "staring-into-the-air, "slumping-on-the-floor-like-a-pancake" or "slouching-upright-against-the-wall" giving scant attention to whatever I did.
He shows affection in regular little trickles though. He would jump up and sit next to me on the sofa every morning before I get to work, purring louder than any other cat I know. At night, he will be next to me near my mouse when I work on the PC, like now.
He probably did not miss me but is glad I am back, I hope!
