Stormy, blustery and heavy foggy weather foiled our attempt to reach Neko Harbor on the west coast of the Antarctica peninsula. Nevertheless, we did have a chance to see some marvelous icebergs and experience some nasty Antarctica weather. In this shot you can see snow/ice being blown off the iceberg.
For Macro Mondays - Foil
A small piece of caterers grade foil (2 inches x 1 3/4 inches) randomly folded. With light through closed curtains (gold) and a splash of light from an uncurtained window.

2 sections of foil coils on a red covered book. Room overhead light, table lamp light at 1 o'clock and small LED torch light at 7 o'clock.

It's a good thing foil came up as a theme for Macro Mondays because now I have a reason for keeping a bag of multicolored foil bits! Perhaps they'll make it into ice cubes some day but for now it's a foil abstract.
The image area measures about 1.5 inches X 1.5 inches.

I had a great time at the bulk food store to find something "foiled." This was one of my first outings since our lockdown recently ended. The foil wrappers are from chocolate truffles. (Gee whiz, I don't know where the truffles went ... 0:) Happy Macro Mondays! HMM!

So for the Redux 2021 theme of choosing two I went with Foil (8/9) and Knot (9/27) could have been Bottle or Hole but Foil and Knot are the two! Frame is 1-1/2 inch square or 38mm square.

Plasticised foil is increasing used in food packaging nowadays. I just wonder if any of it is biodegradable or recyclable?
